I read this in my devotionals today and thought it would be good for us to reflect on and share what we have learned in our walk with the Lord this year.

The end of a year and the dawn of a new is always a time of reflection and renewed hope. What have you gleaned from walking with Jesus through these past months and seasons? What are your priorities for the coming year? May the Lord bless you as you follow Him there.

What have you learned this year and what do you hope to learn and grow in in the coming year?

So much, but one thing is that God is faithful. Man may fail me, and have failed me, and even I failed myself, but God is ever faithful. The many times I cry out to Him, having my heart broken, He never forgot it, He remembered me.

So for 2018, praying that He strengthen my faith in Him in returned.

I learned that I shouldn't become complacent in my faith. I went 8 months without confession, which is pretty bad for me. I became more distant from the lord during that time. My prayer life suffered; I became more sinful.

I learned not to rush into things and to wait for God's direction, especially in the bigger things. I learned to wait on him.

I learned how to listen to God more clearly.

I learned that God's ways are not my ways, and I learned God wants us to walk by faith and not by knowledge (as the knowledge either cannot be grasped or is infact just falsehood). That God wants us to trust him.

And in general I just grew more in wisdom and had a closer walk.

With everything that's happened this year, I've become more angry and bitter. My walk with God is worse than ever. I don't think I've learned anything.

It's hard to think straight when you're in constant pain, both physically and emotionally.

I guess I've learned God heals people when He feels like it.

Hang in there, Moe. I and everyone else will be praying for you.

It's easy to be bitter, but the Lord is so much greater than our anger and He heals all. He is gracious and merciful beyond our comprehension.

I feel you!

I had very painful revelations this year, which i'm still feeling the aftermath of. Hold on to God, it may feel like you're alone in the pain, but He is right there with you.

Psalms 73 has been my go-to when I feel like the unsaved have it better than me in life.It will help to find your go-to scriptures.

Be encouraged.

I think I figured out myself a bit better. I feel I had a very late start in life getting to know and understand what I even believe. I questioned everything, and even disagreed with myself, and took stances I didn't understand. It's been a mystery. An unintended consequence of extreme abuse and never being allowed to have an opinion about anything.

I'm sorry if this all sounds strange, but it's been fun this last year. I've enjoyed the process of self-discovery.

I've learned to depend on God above others, and learned to push myself to grow in the Lord through
breaking out of my comfort zone.

Last year I learned how important it is to keep on praying. I learned how to better be kind and helpful to other people (at least online). I also learned again not to take things for granted because I may miss them later.

I hope to continue to learn and grow in 2018, and to improve myself as best I can.

2 things

1. if you want something, stop making excuses and go get it, it's waiting for you.
2. that matter how deep and dark your past is, God is still stronger than all of it. He can pull you out from the deepest depths of darkness and restore you.

1. Diligence and perseverance pay off, and you can't put a price on a college education.

2. The Sacraments (Confession, Eucharist) really do heal.

Patience. I can't begin to share the number of times God told me to be patient. Also, I learned that no matter how far I strayed from God, His grace and mercy is sufficient to bring me back to Himself and instill in me favor and purpose. Amen
