What has President Trump's time in office done to you, personally?

So many people hate what the President "stands for" or what he says, or just have a general bias. I want to know what President Trump's policies have done to hurt you, personally, or help you, personally. Concrete things:

For example "I got a bonus from my company directly attributable to President Trump's tax cut." Or "I lost my job because President Trump has cut my government job."

In my experience, other than raising or lowering my taxes, no president has had an effect on me, personally.

He just spoke via video satellite, at the 45th annual March For Life event...the first sitting President to do so.

He also declared January "National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month".

My children are frightened of nuclear war and unchecked climate change, and racial hatred has become more visible at both the schools and where I work. Some of their friends, who have depended on CHIP, have lost services and healthcare. We've experienced loss of funding at my work (which would surprise folks, one would think that my field would thrive under a Trump administration, but since I'm a university prof, I'm in a tug of war between Trumps support for my industry and his lack of support for public universities)

How did Trump make your kids afraid of climate change? Are you sure that's not something you did to them?

And why are they afraid of nuclear war? Did you let them know that Obama and Clinton allowed NK to acquire nukes?

It sounds like most of this stuff you mention is self inflicted. Sounds like you've made some bad choices and are blaming it on Trump.

In my experience, other than raising or lowering my taxes, no president has had an effect on me, personally.

1. He has given me confidence and appreciation that not everybody aspiring to high office is a member of the feckless permanent political class who throws us a few bones to keep us quiet while they concentrate on benefiting and enriching themselves personally. He actually wants to accomplish things that are good for all Americans. As an American and as a patriot that makes me happy and gives me hope that America's best days are still to look forward to.

2. My IRA is liking what is happening a lot.

3. I watched the President giving several speeches this week, including the March for Life in Washington DC this morning, with pride in my heart and giving thanks to God for his courage and honesty in respect for honoring and promoting what is good in this country, i.e. respect for law, life, flag, country, and opportunity for all. That gives me reassurance for a better deal for my children and grandchild, something that is important for most of us.

4. We probably won't at this time, but I am resassured that if we wanted to start up our business again--a business we closed midway in the Obama years because it just wasn't profitable enough to justify the risk and effort to keep it going--we would be profitable again and in turn would provide income for some others again. That provides additional financial security.

5. People for whom I have been praying for years now, are finally going back to work and at good full time jobs instead of the iffy part time jobs they have had to make do with due to the previous policies in the Obama Administration. That will strengthen our communities and neighborhoods and improve the aesthetics of many of our surroundings.

6. Hope for a brighter, more free, more prosperous future for Americans. That makes me happy and being happy is something I can really appreciate.

Thank you Mr. President!

I'm frightened of nuclear war, too, but I don't see President Trump as the cause. I agree with the President on Climate Change-let's get some legislation that actually does something about it, and we'll listen. Government subsidies to Tesla and windmills and solar companies don't do that. Racial hatred changed during the previous administration. Regarding CHIP, there is a proposal in this government shutdown debate to keep it going. Regarding DOE funding, you DO realize that the Department of Education educates no one? That the Department of Energy provides none? Also, if the public universities were more university-like, meaning that the free exchange of ideas is respected, there would be some love between the president and the University systems.

He has helped to push public discourse off the insane cliff it was already headed for.

It seems he has increased the chances of nuclear war somewhat.
So public discourse was headed that way prior to his election.
And I guess you see a regime that constantly threatens the world with nuclear destruction as not culpable for the chances of nuclear war?

Since none of President Trump's budget or policies re healthcare and/or CHIP have kicked in, he can't be blamed for whatever has happened to your children's friends. The House just passed a bill that would keep the government open for awhile longer and would also extend children's healthcare benefits for another six years. The Senate Democrats say they won't vote for it because it doesn't provide amnesty for illegal immigrants in this country. The President favors the House bill.

So who are you going to blame if the Senate Democrats plus two or three Republicans kill it and shut down the government? Senate Democrats who care more about illegal immigrants or more accurately the Democratic votes they provide than they care about you and/or your children's friends? Or will you blame the President who had nothing to do with it?

I am hugely appreciative, and feel much safer, with President Trump at the helm looking out for American interests and security even as he is willing to cut some deals that would be humane for the DACA kids. Black Americans, Hispanic Americans, women, pretty much all groups are already benefiting. He is a good man who is doing his best to do good things for America. And it is yielding a happier America except for the haters who go into meltdown almost every day. But since I am not one of them, a happier America is a happier me.

I have a severe allergic reaction I'm dealing with now. It never happened under Obama so
I'm blaming Trump.

Please someone impeach Trump so my severe condition will go away !

I have quit watching news on TV because it is now NOTHING but Trump-bashing
I take good long breaks and only watch two shows, ever. Listen to Limbaugh and Levin when I listen. I'm binge watching Life Below Zero on Netflix.

I think this post all boils down to "Hope".

Hope is so very important and coupled with confidence, it is what has inspired Americans to create the most amazing and greatest country the world has every known. But hope is also coming to fruition all over the place. The numbers are up in almost all the good categories and among almost all the nation's demographics. All we Americans have ever needed is a government that encourages us to do great things and stays out of our way so we can do them. President Trump is the first President we have had in a long time who seems to understand that.

I assume you mean NK, and I guess you're suggesting that the way to avoid war is to engage in a urinary contest via Twitter.
