Do you believe that those who are aborted have souls? I ask because some believe that the soul enters the body at birth. I don't share that view, by the way.

The Bible says God breathed life into Adam's nostrils and he then became a living being. I don't know where it is, but another verse speaks about the "breath of life" coming from God. I always took that literally and believed it means people get their souls at birth.

I have seen accounts from people who have had "Near Death Experiences" in which they claimed they saw their own child that had died in the womb through miscarriage or abortion.

Many years ago my wife and I were trying to become pregnant. So one evening we "did the deed" and shortly thereafter my wife lit a candle and we sat at a table. Not long after there was an unexplained "woosh" that extinguished the flame. A number of weeks later we learned that my wife was pregnant. We speculated that the "woosh" that put out the candle was our son's soul entering my wife's womb.

I had a dream about my daughter in Heaven that I learned a lot from. She never made it to the womb. She was taken out with an IUD. Heaven is a perfect place but I think she does not understand what happened and why she was not able to live her life here on the Earth. I think they all want to be reconciled with their parents. But not all of the parents are going to be able to go to Heaven to be with their Babies. It is sad for the baby that some of the parents are not going to be able to make it there. Jesus tells us that Heaven is all about the children.

The government does not fund abortions unless they are done to save the mother's life. Planned Parenthood is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. It provides many services to help prevent abortions and requires counseling before performing an abortion that is medically unnecessary to the mother.

If you want the government to stop funding abortions altogether, you want every pregnant woman with a medical emergency to die. That is pure evil and totally against what Jesus taught.



Only the government is financially able to support girls and women in order to prevent them from having abortions.

What you want to do is leave her out in the cold, forcing both the mothers and children to suffer and die because they are unable to take care of themselves. It is what I know Jesus told us not to do. He told us to care for all of the widows and orphans. You want to ignore all the people who would are like widows and orphans, even though the child's father is still living.

So I am putting it here hoping all abortion opponents will stop dancing around the extremely obvious and repeatedly proven fact that without a lot of help from the government, hundreds of thousands of pregnant girls and women need abortions for many justifiable reasons.

Where are you getting this number of “hundreds of thousands” when the average yearly total number of abortions is 600,000 and less than 1% of those are conducted as a result of rape, Incest, and medical complications? Are you just guessing that hundreds of thousands of women need abortions for justifiable reasons or do you actually have a credible source that supports this statement?

It is literally impossible to oppose both abortion and all government programs that can prevent most of them unless you happen to be a misogynist whose real intention is to control women, which I am sure no Christians are because they believe in love.

Christians who are completely opposed to abortions has absolutely nothing to do with misogyny and that is not “literally” the only reason they can be opposed to it. Many Christians completely trust in God and don’t put a value on their life in this world above the life of others and God’s commandments. Many would rather die than kill an innocent baby for any reason. Many would rather put their own life and the life of their loved ones in God’s hands and let Him be the One to decide who will live and who will die because our own life in this world is not as important than our life in the next world. So you can see that there are absolutely perfectly good reasons why Christians would be opposed to abortion that have absolutely nothing to do with misogyny.

One reason I am a Democrat is I want the number of abortions to drop. I want all of the reasons many girls and women suffer psychologically, physically, and socially during their unwanted pregnancies to nearly disappear. I also want the reasons women who wanted babies, but suddenly find themselves unable to care for them, to be gone. Only the federal and blue state governments can do that for them.

So, what do you want the federal government to do to help pregnant girls and women who lack the ability and resources to carry their unborn babies for nine months and take care of them for the next 20 years? What would be your plan if you were a politician? Would you prefer they get all their help from states or the federal government? Keep in mind we are not talking about crisis pregnancy centers here because they have very limited resources and, as Catholic Church-based organizations, will do nothing for non-Christians who need help. It truly is the government or nothing, no matter how she got pregnant or why she is considering abortion.

No. But there are ways I am sure people in power can figure it out. People adopt children from different countries all the time. It is just easier so I have heard. Whatever is causing that, employ some of it here.

It would be interesting to see how many people choose to adopt older kids to avoid dealing with the first three years of their lives. We need to make specifically adopting babies, not just any little kids, more attractive.

I agree that is why I brought it up. I think plenty of people would want babies. My neighbor did both. 2 older sibling the first time, then a baby. I was the one who spoke with her about that and threw her a shower for her baby. She agreed the benefit of a baby would be no negative effects from past abuse or memories of it. That baby would only know her and her husband, for all her memories. Adopting older kids to avoid issues is a fallacy. She had "plenty" of issues to deal with that those years brought with them. Planned parenthood has backfired. It has accomplished just the opposite of what it was supposed to do. It had to do with Hitler's idea of ethnic purity ( eugenics) and an attempt to limit the black population. They have actually limited whites and blacks are increasing so much you have cities like Detroit that are 80% black. Atlanta is 50% black with areas up to 91%. So planned parenthood has failed to accomplish its objective. Blacks are a good solid voting base for the liberals so they continue to support and fund Planned Parenthood. The liberals at least give lip service to their agenda while the conservatives continue to bury their head in the sand. Even though there are a few very conservative black people. I was on Obamacare and have experience with it.
What experience do you have?

The states that fought against Obamacare, the residents couldn't get affordable health insurance.
I have experience with that too as my daughter lives in NH and they had only one choice for
health insurance
