Ohoh, you're not one of those who think Christ was born from Mary's side are you?

The ever-virgin myth is a Roman Church de fide idea. It contradicts scripture and tradition.

I don't think I said that - I think I made it quite clear I found the idea weird. In fact, I said the word weird three times.

I don't think the fact of Mary's hymen remaining intact or not is something I am worried about. On the other hand I do not want to let my own cultural prejudices make me sure when I should be open-minded.

I don't consider the idea that Mary remained a virgin, in the sense of never being sexually active, to be a myth - I would say that is orthodox teaching.

That is a different error.

This is #26.

100 (ccc)The task of interpreting the Word of God authentically has been entrusted solely to the Magisterium of the Church, that is, to the Pope and to the bishops in communion with him.

RC does not think EO, Anglican, etc can interpret authentically the bible.

Again, I don't think it is true that they teach that others cannot know the authentic meaning of Scripture at all. Even to say that it has been entrusted to the magesterium and bishops of the Catholic Church (which I don't really believe to be the case as it happens) would not mean that.

It would be better to say that when others do so, they may fall into error, that there is no guarantee of authentic understanding by these other groups.

It's hard to take a list seriously that is so imprecise.

The priest holds up a piece of bread. You don't give the bread latria?

My Pastor does also, and the Chalice... and at that point in the liturgy; it is the very body and blood of Christ in, with and under the bread and wine! As Luther said; "it is what it is".

If you don't believe that, then anything that is done should not matter to you.

Well, that's not what they say.

They do not think anyone but those in communion with Rome can interpret the Word of God.

You're pointing out a different error (all but Rome have fallen into error as regards interpreting the Word of God).

Under the species of bread. They hold up the bread and worship the species of bread; that is, the bread.

Remember also, they don't think you have the ability to interpret the Word of God. So, why do you think to even defend them?

If it is as you claim, that they don't believe that we have the ability to interpret the Word of God; why do they sometimes hire Ordained Lutheran Theologians (in Montreal and St. Louis to name a few cities) to lecture and teach in their Sems? Why do we allow them to teach in ours if such is indeed the case?

Yes, we have our differences, but we, with our Catholic, Orthodox and Anglican brothers and sisters accept the Biblical truth of the real presence; those, like yourself are in the minority, and have succumbed to the recent innovation of Zwinglian misintrepretation regarding the Eucharist.

You are in a very small numerical minority.

The gold idols such as the chalices and crucifix's. The Gay clothing wore by the so called elders. The expensive buildings and rejection of the poor.

Who could invest so much into themselves, as another human being starves?
:D

Ya gotta admit, the Vatican guards wear some pretty spiffy uniforms, tho they look a little "gayish" to me...must be a Latin thang....

Vatican guards are the Swiss military.

They wear traditional clothes much like the British who guard the queen.

No idea why they permit this, but to clarify, it is their words, not mine. You may teach (pretend to) and they may listen (pretend to). But make no mistake, they have zero shred of sincerity that your teaching is authoritative in any way, lest they contradict their own words as I quoted.

Probably because they died as martyrs denying they ate flesh and blood. The majority agreed they ate flesh and blood, like the Romans, and lived.

PS. RC declared Anglican sacrament null and void. I've no doubt they think the same of yours for the same reason (no valid priest line and intent to offer sacrifice again).
