  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

What does this mean?

I was in a thread about what happens to us when we die earlier (in another forum) and someone attacked me out of the blue about the Sabbath commandment. Had I mentioned the Sabbath then I would've seen it coming, but I didn't (again, the subject was death).

Under this person's name they have "Vivat Jesu!" Can anyone tell me what that means please?

I didn't even think to Google it HoneyDew...LOL...what is wrong with me? I guess I was thinking it's some kind of Jesuit thingy so it wouldn't be online anyway. hehe

I sent him a PM and told him that I had reported him because I was very insulted, etc and I've never gotten a nicer response back in my life. I mean this poor guy is OVERLY sorry and of course I accepted his apology. It's not allowed and I'm sure he knew that.

He basically said that keeping the Sabbath is like remaining under the laws of circumcision etc. I am trying to start up a conversation about it now that everything has been resolved (and he really is a very nice guy).

I Googled but still found no clear cut answer so I guess the best thing is to pose a question in their forum. I did see a lot of KC (knights of columbus) and catholic articles with the phrase.
