Walking in the Spirit ( in this low place called earth) is walking in Heaven, to fly on earth is to be down in the ground, as all that exalts itself, will have the mightiest of falls..

Proverbs 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

Think of two fathers ( two masters as you like to speak sometimes about)

Both look after their sons ( and daughters) to the best of ability, giving all that is needed to them.

One gives wealth, happiness, cleverness, ( the children of this world are wiser in their generation than the children of light) and shows his path of bold rulership in this world ( so bold it might stretch unto the next)

The other gives pains, troubles, and anguish, so bad that doubt is carried about ( while they carry their cross) to even make it to the Kingdom of their father( prepared for them from the foundation of the world)

The Gospel becomes whatever this world wills it to be, because of popularity, because of success, because of confidence, and the ones who doubt, may not make it at all, but they just might.

Salvation means a lot when you have nothing else, but to the full, every sweet thing is bitter ) even their recollection and belief on God) and to the hungry ( who can enjoy all bitter as sweet) how sweet would he outcome of hope be to only them.

If you want to understand that, with the following verse, it means we hope against hope, and are sick in this life without the hope of the rich, happy and exalted ( of their father the exalted one, to be cast down to hell) but if they do make it to salvation their desire comes as the tree of life, ( the fruit of this tree is bitter to the already full ones of hell, as hell can never be full, which means it could never be grateful and contented)

Proverbs 13:12 Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.

Revelation 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

As the title says, how do we walk in the spirit? Do all who possess the Holy Spirit walk in the spirit as all who have the spirit are sealed and saved forever? Just what did Paul mean when he told Christians to walk by the spirit?

Another question, if we do automatically walk by the Spirit why do we still sin? Paul said that those who walk by the spirit no longer gratify the flesh? So does that mean that they will hardly ever sin?

If yes or no, why does it seem like every regenerated person lives in sin? It makes no sense. Perhaps somebody besides Google explain just waling in the spirit is? Thank you.

Let's take a look at walking in the Spirit, because Paul says in Roman 8: 1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. This is true, because Jesus says in John 4: 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Jesus also say in John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. So walking in the spirit is the word of God.

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

Now, what law is this Paul talking about. This law is animal sacrificial law, not the royal law (Ten Commandments, statutes and Judgement). Paul explained this law in; (Heb.10:1, 9-10,18,26-27) (v.1) For the law (what law, the law of animal sacrifice?) having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. (v.9) Then said he, (Jesus) Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first that he may establish the second. (v.10) By which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

When Jesus died on the cross that was the end of the first covenant, which consisted of the blood of animals and the keeping of God’s commandments. And his death also brought in the second covenant, which consist of the blood of Jesus and the keeping of God’s commandments. (v.18) Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. In other words, no more animals are going to die for your sins. (v.26) For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins.

Now do we understand what’s being said here? If you sin willfully after you have knowledge of what the truth is, no more animals are going to die for you. (v.27) But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. Now if you are being deceived into believing that once you are under God’s grace you no longer have to keep his commandments, all you have to look forward to is the day of judgement and the lake of fire (fiery indignation).

Now, Let's get back to Romans 8: 4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

So what is the righteousness of the law? Let allow Paul to tell us in (Rom. 7:7,12) (v.7) What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, THOU SHALT NOT COVET. Paul asked a question, is the law sin? He said God forbid, he said the only way that he knew what sin was, was by the law. (v.12) Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

The Sabbath day on the seventh day of the week, it is consider walking in the spirit because its part of the law (commandments), to be carnally minded is walk contrary to the law of righteousness.

Let’s take a look at what else Paul said in (Rom. 4:15) Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression. If there is no law there is no sin. Which mean we can do as we please when we please!

Again Paul said in (Rom. 5:13) (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. If there is no law, there is no sin!

Walking in the Spirit is a bit deeper than that.

It is Jesus not stopping walking, even though this world tries to stop Him, and this world ends walking, it dies, it takes breaks, it savours what is of man and escapes, or fulfils their own desire.

Jesus is the way that Israel did not walk, in love, that is keeping all of the commandments of God, in the Spirit, when the Spirit is given, through Christ walking and not resting, as Israel did, does and achieves no walk in the Spirit as Christ walked..

Luke 13:32 And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.
33 Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.
