What does it mean to be "Saved"?

Does this make it less likely that you would choose sin and more likely to resist sin? If so, why not be born that way?

So to be saved means to be saved from the second death?

This goes back to the first humans, because they partook of the fruit of knowing good and evil, their Godlike imagination killed them because they knew evil and could not control the manifestation of both good and evil at the same time.

Basicall your question if why bother with this all life and suffering , why not just create only people who would never disobey God to begin with.
Perhaps this was impossible duo to either free will or it would have too little people we don't know.
Maybe God could only create 1 man duo to how he justify his anger against sin and that he could pay the penalty eye for eye so 1 man for 1 man ( Bible says as we sin in one man Adam we are justified by one man Christ )

but ye believers are superior creation to what Adam and Eve were to begin with there are many differences.
Perhaps God couldn't create what he really wanted other way than this way else he would.

Somehow in God's eyes its good trade to have 90 or 95% go to lake of fire and have rest for himself for eternity than to just create mindless robot-like people with no free will.

But Lake of Fire was never made for men it was made for Angels who rebelled at start , we're like pets compared to them.

God, the Father, didn't think this was fair either. Therefore, Jesus - God the Son - came and died in our place, so we could be made alive through trusting in Him.

I wouldn't underestimate the option of a mindless robot-like human. I would much rather be a mindless robot-like human for the short time on Earth and end up going to heaven because of it than to be given free-will while here on Earth resulting in eternal torture in the lake of fire.

They were originally created with to look like and be like God. However, because of that one modification, (knowledge of good and evil) it resulted in their spiritual death.

Regrettably, this is something that cannot be unlearned, it is hardwired into us and all children judge things based on how pleasant or bad they are. Life as we know it progresses from there.

What do Christians mean when they say they are saved? I've even heard some of them mention the specific day that they got saved. What does this mean?

When growing up I did not know if God was real, but there was a day that God made Himself known to me, in that day I recognized the truth of there being a God. I came to God on that day, connected to Him. Salvation is an eye-opening connecting experience.
