What does hereafter mean?

Re 1:19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;

Re 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

Does hereafter mean from this point on?

Does hereafter mean here after these things happen?

Blessings

Revelation 1:19
Write down, therefore, what you have seen, and what is happening, and what will happen afterwards

...What you have seen, and what is happening, and what will happen afterwards: the three parts of the Book of Revelation, the vision (Rev 1:10-20), the situation in the seven churches (Rev 2-3), and the events of Rev 6-22.

:)

Peace be with you!

These verses are exegeted. In the original language it is 'history'.

Even in english, think about it.....ALL hereafters contains history's. But this history has specifics ie: church age, and the rapture.

The word hereafter is very vague and can mean all kinds of things in the hereafter (as per you OP....very confusing), but when taken from the original writing it becomes very clear just WHAT hereafter/history really is that is in the verses. Now we know it's referring to the rapture and chuch age.
