so what do you guys write?

i major in fantasy novel, am in the progress of trying to complete one.

mostly fiction. i have dabbled in fantasy but haven't really built a complex, realistic enough universe for it to work.

i'm working on a novel that's a little different from what i usually write. it's set in modern times and is more of a "realistic" novel than i usually do and it's slightly darker than i'm used to but i'm pleased with it.

I used to enjoy writing mainly mystery/crime fiction until I lost an interest in it during middle high school. But I've been reading some great novels over my holiday break and would love to start penning an international crime thriller of some sort soon.

Ooh, this is cool, it seems Erwin's just devising all manner of new forums this month now isn't he? I like to write fiction, set in basements and nighttime streets and other dark corners of the modern world, though sometimes I can't help myself and I get drawn into philosophy essays on one topic or another.

I write beats for my drum-constant, songs-constant, poetry-published; constant, fantasty novels-one in progress, romance novels-one in progress, essays, prose, playwrite. I write whatever I want to write... I am currently working on a Weird Science Fiction novel, kind of hitch hikers guide to the galaxy... only not... I'm also working on a couple of short stories in the same universe as the novel.. I am also writing a murder mystery/pseudo historical thriller novel, just so I can do something different when I get sick of writing sci fi.

I write poetry and I write fiction. I really enjoy fiction because you get to devolp charaters and use your imagination...I never know quite where they are going to take me

I've been trying to do some writing (fantasy and some poems)....

Maybe this sounds a bit stupid but I try to create my own world...just as Tolkien did....I really love his books...Have begun to create my own language too but have not got further than a few words and some basic grammar....biggest problem so far not to sound like another existing language and to invent a script....

With the stories for my own world I'm not that far get..have a basic plot and some of the background storiey in my head or as stupid poems on my computer...just one story with about 1 page lenght is finished by now....

Fiction. That's ALL I write when it comes to stories.

I also like writing poetry, but I like writing stories more. Currently I just started a new story that got erased on my computer a long time ago.. Stupid floppy disks... Sooo I'm starting it up again from scratch. It's a religious story about a high school girl who is abused by her father, and eventually comes to know God again like she did when she was younger, through her best friend.

It's a little complicated, but I really like how it's turning out. Even though I haven't actually started the story yet, I'm still on writing out the background information and who the characters are. But I do that for all my stories.

I also like writing anime stories. Basically what I mean by that is writing stories with an anime theme. For example, I was working on a story that involved a bunch of high school students living in Japan and they are Pokemon trainers. (Yes I know it sounds lame but I thought it was cute. ) The story is like a fantasy story pretty much because the students have special powers, like superhero powers so to speak. Again, it's complicated, but I can't publish this story because the Pokemon part is not my own work. So I'm just writing it for fun.

I've been writing stories since I was seven. I still have the first story I ever made in my closet somewhere. It's based on the show Care Bears (because I was obsessed with that show when I was seven) and because I didn't have a computer yet when I was seven, I think, I drew pictures in it and wrote the story on paper.

I seriously love to write. But you probably already knew that. I don't know where I would be without the writing talent God gave me.

anime fan fic? i've written some as well. Fun and a lot easier in terms of character building and setting... coz it's all there.

I've been writing a series of semi-regular vignettes titled "Tales From The Library"; eventually, I'd like gather them together and publish them (under a pseudonym-- I don't know that my supervisors would be too keen on something like this...)

Occasionally I'll get ideas for short stories, but I haven't really been capitalizing on them much in the past few years. I just file them away in the section of my brain marked "possible short story ideas".
