It is vulgar, or so it is meant to be which is why it is a release to ppl.

Since it is wrong, saying it makes one feel 'good'. That is free will and struggling with the flesh going hand in hand.

What do you think of saying "sh*it" when you fail to do something or things like that? Is it vulgar? Is it okay?

It is simply a word. Different cultures apply different verbal stigmas to different words. That word (or variations of it), in many places (like Scotland I believe) is simply the common word for fecal matter and doesn't carry any profane connotations as it would in the U.S.

I will say that, regardless of where you live, using the word in a profane way makes it profane and, thus, unacceptable:

2 Tim 2:16
But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness.

God bless

2nd Timothy 2:16 tells us to refrain from vulgar language. So...the bottom line is that it is a sin and we should not speak profanities because it offends God. It does slip out of my mouth from time to time, but I realize that it is a sin and confess it to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

While I posted the same verse from 2 Tim, I'm curious how one would justify such a sweeping statement, being that many words which are considered profane in some parts of the world are not profane in others.

Wouldn't it be more accurate to acknowledge the imprudence of doing/saying anything of this nature that is rightly considered profane? I'm not endorsing pluralism. I'm simply acknowledging that I don't know that it's entirely accurate to say that the usage of certain words is, without exception, "profane so it is a sin."

God bless

hitting your thumb with a hammer!^_^
But forgiveable, unless of course you hit your thumb so you can say it.
"Dung" and "[bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]eth" are in the Bible.
That doesn't give us license to use them "licentiously" tho.
I think there is something satisfying in the explosive expression of combinations of soft & hard vowels & consonants, even more than their profane meanings.

Try "SHACK!"^_^
You'd sorta have to self-hypnotize yourself into doing it, to overcome the cultural conditioning of depending upon the less "savory" werdz.

What would you say if a hammer hit your finger real hard? "Ouch?"

When you are angry or [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] off, what would you do (say) at that instant?
