Ever since Blockbuster bit the dust we've used Netlflix two movies at a time plus streaming. BTW we don't care for Red Box.
I do like it for the new releases (dvd) since we always get them the same day or next. But aside from that my parents mainly use it to stream older tv shows or in general movies. I find some people don't like the selection. Which depends on what types of genres you like or don't like. One of the problems with what is carries is unlock Blockbuster its movies can come or go based on contracts with companies. Thats why at first I think it had no Disney movies or MGM movies.
I do like you can (online) sort the movies but rating so you all the clean movies are at the top of the results. So its only as bad as you want it to be. And I do believe there is a parental feature that lets you block movies from showing up like R rated and so on. Granted Unrated movies can sometimes be good or bad.
Another bad thing is the movies no longer are rentable with "extra" discs or bonus features. If you notice the discs say its a "rental" version of the movie meaning its bare bones. Also I hear the throttle speeds of streaming but I've never had it happened. I know on weekends the speed in general goes down because of so many people watching stuff.
The one thing that REALLY has made me question it recently is the fact they edit movies. Sometimes they remove nudity for example (which isn't to bad to do). But they also edit out scenes to cut down on the movies file size to stream. Or in many cases the edit things from a scene. Again to save on size.
Heres a few examples:
