1. The self. The biggest problem any person has is themselves.
2. The domination systems of religion and/or politics that control people, dehumanise them, contaminate creation and commit all sorts of montrosities and evils.
3. That Christianity has specifically become victimised and mutilated to the point where the truth is right under all of our noses but the truth has been so twisted that so many people can't even see it.

I'm with seebs on this one.

1) Fundies - the kinds of Christians that, despite being removed from the mainstream, get the most attention. They do a great disservice to Christianity when they advocate the murder of homosexuals, or when they make asinine statements about evolution and the sciences, or when they just act like poor role models.

2) Homosexuality - a large segment of Christians condemns homosexuals, who harm no one, as no better off than murderers and rapists. I happen to know good reasons why murderers and rapists are bad - because they rape, kill, torture, and hurt people; but, many Christians are realizing that homosexuality is fundamentally no more harmful than heterosexuality, so their is tension between these two divided groups of Christians.

3) Separation of Church and State - too many Christians focus on those words "One Nation Under GOD", when they really should be focusing on "With Liberty and Justice for ALL". I've seen a lot of times that some fundies (note: some fundies, not all Christians) believe there is no separation of Church and State, implying that Christianity should be singled out for preferencial treatment among all the other religions.

4) Utterly vacuous sense of direction - when fundies make a futile effort to get the Congress to protect expensive monuments on government property, it really makes you wonder if these fundies are deliberately trying to avoid doing more productive things. The most politically active fundies I know care more about endorsing God on our money, putting a 10 Commandments in every classroom, and trying to criminalize the act of two guys kissing in the park than focusing on real issues like the problem of poverty in America, the AIDS epidemic in Africa, corruption in large business and government, and the destruction of the environment. I'm sure most will say that they do care about these issues, but I bet nearly every last one of them has spent more time pushing for stricter sodomy laws on the White House lawn than even thinking about encouraging more foreign aid subsidies to fight the AIDS epidemic overseas.

The fractionalized state that CF is in, may not be a pressing issue facing Christianity as a whole but it is an issue.
