Born around A.D. 560 in Spain, Saint Isidore began his life similar to many today, as a lousy student.
Burned out on book learning and unable to plagiarise Wikipedia, he did something all modern students should do: he turned to God for help.
After this he became one of the most learned men of his time, writing many books. He has been widely recognised as the patron saint of both computer users and school students. Since 90% of what they do with computers is surf the internet, it seemed like a pretty logical step.
