What do you think about (as a christian) listening to Kelly Clarkson???

I came in this thread just to see what you posted...because I knew you would.

My sister plays a Kelly Clarkson song over and over again and it makes me want to beat her over the head...more so because she's playing a song over and over again than that it's Kelly Clarkson. I stay away from music my little sister listens to (unless I happened to find it first!)

Hey, sis. There is nothing wrong or against the Bible about listening to secular music. Use your best judgement. You could be listening to a LOT worse than Kelly Clarkson from a moral standpoint. If you enjoy her, then listen to her. If God is the center of your life, then you're fine. I can't say this for sure, but I'm pretty sure that God isn't going to look down upon you for liking a certain singer. Just relax sweetie, ok?

I think it's not a good idea to listen to Secular music. Think about this, you like a certain singer, ok the artist is not a bad person, the artist does good works and believes in God. But say, the artist is produced by a satanic worshiper..

The music has been touched by the unclean. And say the radio stations are also unclean to the Lord. Then how as a Christian does that affect you? Or how does the Lord see it? Ask yourself What would Jesus do?
