I'm not married but I wondered how married couples cope with that first burp or that first POP of wind? how embarrasing.

Hey brother. I can't answer for all couples but I can tell you how it was for us.

It wasn't too long after being married, only a couple of days or so. It was one of those ones that you try to slip out all slow like. I think of those as the ol' leaky tire. I mean, you gotta get it out but heavens forbid anyone should hear it.

Anyway I was thinking "ol' leaky" but what happened was "thunderclap". I must've turned three shades of red. My wife looked at me and said, "Well, I guess the honeymoon's over."

funny, tooo funny!!!!:D :D :D

Guess those smelly ones in bed might also be a problem. The ones where you have to hold down the sheets to stop yourself from being gassed.

I pity the poor lady I marry. I hope she has a supply of corks.

The hardest part of marriage for me...is usually at the end of a long day of working, coming home and cooking/cleaning/laundry, helping the kids with thier homework (usually my favorite part of the day) and finally getting a shower somewhere in the middle...is after the kids go to bed and my DH decides to have an intense conversation...one that usually requires a brain...which admittedly mine usually falls out of my head sometime during the day not to be found until another 5 hours of sleep...and wants my input...usually some theological

That point...where I'm bone weary, ready to sleep for a week, brain dead and exhausted...that's the hard point....that's where I make the choice to feed my marriage (participate in conversation) or feed myself(sleep!)....I'm not perfect...far from it, but I have learned that by feeding my marriage...the sleep is all the more restful...

Grace...grace....God's grace...

it's a wonderful thing God's grace....so practical...and at the same time so ethereal...
