CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
What do you look for in a girl/guy?

The guy has to be:
1. strong, devoted Christian (meaning he LOVES God more than me )
2. mature, deep thinker
3. has a sense of humor
4. sensitive to my feelings
5. witty conversationalist
6. frank yet gentle
7. and i should know him (meaning I really know who he is deep down)
8. has a "musical" side
#8 is an option, but it would be nice to have someone who knows music

I'm looking for a girl who is sweet, caring, and has a lot of positive energy. Someone who wants to get a lot more out of life. She doesn't have to be a Christian, but it's always a plus. I'm honestly not into looks at all at this point as I've been single all of my life and just at want a good friend who is female (she doesn't have to date, etc. but that would be nice).

what i look for in a guy is someone who will be himself, tell me what he believes and thinks. someone who doesnt do something because its cool. i like and want a guy who is devoted to God and will help me grow stronger to God either then fall away.

What I look for and what I get are 2 different things. Lol. I look for someone who is honest, straightforward, funny, and understanding. Always a plus if he has pretty blue eyes. He also must be taller then me which isnt to hard. Lol.

Hey, just FYI - if I married any of my previous boyfriends based on what I thought I wanted at the time, I would have probably taken the first shuttle to Jupiter by now. I thank GOD He spared me the agony and saved the perfect guy for me for when I was saved and was ready to hand the reins over to Him.

I keep it simple, I'll be happy with what I'll get. A Christian is a definate must... that is all.

What do I look for in a lady?
1. A shared Christian faith (obviously)
2. Good chemistry/rapport/communication
3. honesty, maturity, compassion, kindness, and all that other good stuff
4. shared (or at least compatible) interests
5. she's not too extreme either way with regard to social/political views
6. she loves me despite my eccentricities, flaws, slightly-colored past, etc.-- and vice versa
I can't really think of anything else offhand, if I remember more I'll post it...

Hey, I've never been in this forum before but it seems like a good place to post.
What I look for in a guy is a great relationship with God, maturity, purity and respect for girls. I also don't mind if they are funny and athletic (hugs from a strong guy are the best!).

itz kinda hard for me, cuz i kinda want to let God determine most of this stuff for me. The question is not "what do i want" but "what does God know i need?" But there are some musts:
he MUST be strong in his relationship with God, putting God and His will above every1 and everything else, including myself.
he MUST respect me and my relationship with God, and be supportive in and of that relationship
some things that would be preferable:
at least my age or older
as for everything else *shrugs* God will bring me whomever fits me the best
