I have to admit I'm not a big reader but a few books I have read (mostly christian growth books) and really enjoyed. Some of these are pretty old books

Angels God's secret agents by Billy Graham.
The power of full surrender by Ralph Poole.
The beginners guide to spiritual warefare by Neil Anderson and Tim Warren.

My wife is reading the Battlefield of the mind by Joyce Meyer. When she is done with that I'll read that too.

Nights in Rodanthe- Nicholas Sparks
The Wedding- Nicholas Sparks
* Cried my eyes out with with both of them. They both have very good messages in them.

Naked in Death by JD Robb.

Currently I am making my way through

Glory in Death by JD Robb and The Ruby Knight by Eddings, the second book of the Elenium. I am also rea

I'm kinda nerdy. I love to read reference books. Oxford Thesaurus, dictionaries etc.

I'm right now in the middle of "A Guide to New Religious Movements" and "What's the Difference?" I like to be prepared when I witness to others. It's good to know where they're "coming from."

I love poetry and prose from the 17th century and did I mention Merriam-Webster's Dictionary of Allusions?

Every day, though, I spend time in His presence and His Word. I enjoy gnawing on Scripture and been adding all translations to our library, but my favorite is my New Living Translation Bible and my Parallel Bible.

You know what? I love to read. How many of you enjoy reading aloud to others?

Oh I do too. It doesn't matter what it is either, I just love to read aloud.

Welcome to the Fab 40's LavenderMoon and FfionMair
Thanks for the welcome, sister! I read aloud, too, when no one is around. LOL. Well, my dogs and pussums seem to appreciate it...

Hey. I just realized you are the other half of the romance I've been kinda following on the board. How exciting! God Bless you both!
What part of Minnesota are you going to be visiting? I live down in the SW corner near the SD border.
I'll pray for safe journey for you and that you 2 are blessed with a joyful "reunion."

In Him, Ffion xx

I'm very excited that he's coming here. Yup, he's my better half  I haven't been to MN yet but I'm sure I'll be there before too long. He's getting snow today so I'm thinking I might have to visit when it's a bit warmer ;)

I've been to Philadelphia several times. My Dad, before he passed away, was in Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Oh and when I was a kid I went to the zoo several times. How'd you end up in MN?

Okay everyone... What have you been reading this week, or in the past couple?

I just got done with Message in a Bottle, by Nicholas Sparks. What a tragic love story. That will make three of his that I have read in a month. I love his books.
And I am making my way through The Five People You Meet In Heaven, by Mitch Albom. It's very good and thought provoking, actually both of these books are.

Next, Vanishing Acts, by Jodi Picoult.
