There's a nuclear threat? I saw it on the front page of Yahoo. May God have mercy upon all of Europe.
I don't know what to think. I am a little aggravated at the U.S. government's "holier than thou" attitude. They are pretty much condemning the exact same thing it's done over and over (helping rebels, influencing elections, etc.).
The most important takeaway is to pray for everyone involved. Ukraine, from what I understand, is a mess when it comes to the situation. Some Ukrainians side with Russia, some with NATO/EU and that makes it a big mess. This isn't exactly cut and dry, from what I get.
And on us here, too! If Putin ever had to aim those puppies somewhere, it would toward us before Europe would get the mushroom cloud!
Helping rebels in Syria (currently) and Libya (previously), while condemning Russia for safeguarding its nuclear fleet in Ukraine. I'm a bit confused.
I know the U.S. government is hypocritical, and we've intervened and manipulated and done so many foolish things, but putting that aside for just a minute and leaving the U.S. out of this discussion, let's JUST focus on Russia. Is it ok for Russia to just invade Ukraine willy-nilly? Are we all to accept it just because America has been hypocritical? Russia criticized us with Iraq, justifiably so, but let's forget this country for a minute and just address Russia. Is this ok?
Sure, we should pray, but putting all the prayer and hypocrisy arguments and discussions aside, what you guys think about this? Is this ok?
its not okay but then again its not okay for mcdonalds to pay minimum wage but no one is going to war over it
Stephen, the US is the aggressor in every example you cited. Whether it is US violation of article 3 of the budapest memorandom, sending espionage planes near China to spy on them, or creating ISIS. We have no one to blame but ourselves.
The US does not solve international problems, they create them.

Protecting interests. That's all it is. The U.S. doesn't help rebels because of some great cause. They do it to protect their own interests. That's it. The same thing Russia is doing which is why I have an attitude of "We've done no better and we have no room to condemn."
Supposedly this is East Ukraine...
