There are lots of different kinds of fasts. There's even a CF forum about fasting.

There are spiritual fasts and cleansing fasts and praying fasts and probably a dozen more. The idea with most is that you are denying yourself food (or something but generally food) to grow closer to God. It's not really something done to leverage God (as though anything can) but some people think that God will answer prayer with fasting.

Dietary/Cleansing fasts are simply physical fasts done to help the body repair itself. I've done them drinking only lemon juice/water for up to 3 days. Always feel better afterward.

3 days? Oh my. I don't think I could do that. If I go too long without food my system starts going haywire. Thank you for responding, though.

the oldest help in the united states is so simple,
just a tablespoonful of apple cider vinegar and a spoonful of honey
mixed in a glass of water(distilled or reverse osmosis)

brings relief (after drinking it) within 2 minutes.

farmers used to use acv daily for stamina and endurance in humans(themselves), and for their
hunting dogs, cows and horses.

acv works better than any chemical and has only good side effects, not 26 bad side effects like the pills do.
