I always find it interesting how everyone spends the Sabbath day...

I like to go to my friends houses on friday night and fellowship and go over the lesson. On Sabbath morning we get up early and feed the animals on the farm, then go to church and help greet till Sabbath School lesson study starts. Then if I have to teach, I love to get everyone to participate, even if they just smile.

After church we go to another friends house to fellowship and hold bible study for our group or we stay at church for pot luck and have a bible discussion group at the tables. Then we go to feed the animals and put them away and everyone comes to our house or one of the others close by to fellowship and go over the things we learned...Sabbath is a joyful day!

Shabbat Shalom..Happy Sabbath...

Sounds like a nice day!

I always go to church, then stay for potlluck. Then we sit around and talk after potluck. We usually (weather permitting) go on some kind of leisurely walk. Then usually we go to a friends house and have vespers and a light supper then play board games. It is a nice day!!

That sounds like a dream Sabbath to me. :) I would adore to have actual fellowship and bible study beyond that of just church. Maybe mix in a nice walk in nature, like happywiththelord too. ;)

Mine are usually spent just kinda relaxing. I try to spend some time reading a book (Christian), if I'm not too tired..and listen to a sermon or two. Normally aim to do some study on my own too. Sometimes I'll talk to a friend who may need some uplifting..Most Sabbaths end up with chores, though. :( But that's just my living situation. When I'm out on my own I can keep them without the chores.

One day He'll make it so I can attend church again, too. ^_^ That'll be awesome. I do miss talking to other Christians offline.

Can I post here?

Normally get done with work shortly before sundown. Then I go to the gym (Sometimes I go before sundown). Occasionally I don't though. After that I go home and read books/play video games... sometimes until too late (well, I often get up at noon, so hard not to stay up too late). If I wake up early enough and feel well enough (about 50% of the time), I go to church, arriving a bit after 11 generally.

I stay at church through the sermon, which finished up at 1-2, and then I take part in outreach often (over 70% of the times I attend church) until 3-4. Then I go home, take a walk, play a game, eat, etc. In the evening I generally go and play games with a gaming club.

On days which I don't go to church, I read my Bible and pray for a while instead.

Usually on Friday night we open our home to a Bible study (normally it would just be family but we now have a neighbor and her two teen sons). Then up early to wrangle the kids out of bed and off to Sabbath school. My wife helps in the cradle roll room and I switch off and on with the adult quarterly study. I preach once a month also, but on the off weeks I go into our "mothers" room to corral our twin toddlers so my wife can listen to the services. 2 weeks a month we have potluck after church and then usually those weeks I give a Bible study afterwards. If not maybe some uplifting discussions with a member or two; going over where the Lord had been leading throughout the week. Then home to spend time enjoying the rest of the day with my family.

I love what reddogs wrote but mine is a happy Holy day. I keep my mother now so we are not able to attend church here that she built! We live in the country and the Church is at the corner of our street. I have studies with friends over the phone or I am on the forums. I listen at time to the Hope Channel or other Sabbath program. The Sabbath is a day of holiness of not doing our own pleasures or things on YAHWEH'S the FATHER day of worship. This day has taught me the importance of keeping all of the Holy Appointed Set Times and why it is so important to obey the FATHER, SON and the HOLY SPIRIT. May you all have a Happy Sabbath this week.

Blessings,
stinsonmarri
