I am not confusing anything; I am making the point that thoughts do not exist.Thought are not $$$$ .... you are confusing thinking with empirical things.
That which can be experienced via one or more of our 5 sensesBut you have not demonstrated what it is that exists.
How do you know? Can you provide proof of this reality? Then there is another reality beyond the material world.
Yes it does! If you are allowed to experience my existence using one or more of your 5 senses, that is proof. It may not be the type of proof you want, but it is still proof. That does not necessarily proves you exist.

No. Sounds reasonable to me.Interesting position. You don't think?
Take your time...I am thinking of how to respond.
Oh, very niceIndeed. Our trusty Proctor Silex Hot Air Popcorn Pumper® - "The cornpopper that uses hot air, not hot oil" - is still going strong.

Beauty in the mystery IOW ?Was raised a Catholic. About four years ago, deconverted from Christianity. Identified as an atheist for two of those years. Explored Buddhism and Islam...and most recently, I feel Deism resonates with me. I believe in God, but not necessarily that he is personally involved in every detail of my life. However, I don't subscribe to the traditional Deist stance that he is not involved at all, but I believe he could intervene if he so chooses. I still pray, albeit in a very different way than I once did as a Christian. But, a Deist is what I would say makes the most sense for me. I feel that God is not knowable, as can be seen in 'holy scriptures,' and there is beauty in that for me.
Perhaps you'll dig this 18 min TED talk thenYes! That's exactly how I feel about it. Couldn't find the right words.![]()
