first i will admit my words came out totally wrong because this was my first time going against someone that really is a non believer. during my daily life i encounter many people in my life that do not know of god and i just say i will pray for them and they say thank you and they live about their ways.

as for you. this is a forum i never encountered a confrontation like this before. if i came off arrogant, i'm totally sorry for i got defensive a bunch and that's something i have to work on since this is my second true forum i've been on. its hard to talk to someone via forums or internet than in person or over a telephone when talking on a topic that really is better to be talked to in person in my opinion.

so undoing again sorry for the misuse posts, it was not meant to come out like that let alone for me to be in this thread:ok:

Don't worry it's cool :)

the thing is i went to overboard. that's not really my character and for him to see that, that's completely incorrect. when i come to forums i don't know how to take certain people's post and i think its more of an attack towards me or my belief. i don't want him to think that "oh i'm a huge or bad example of a christian walker".

i came off pretty harsh and it wasn't meant to be like that it was meant to get a point across and obliviously as my trait came into work i got defensive and put up my shield and tried to defend? i mean against what? he didn't say anything all he is trying to do is understand a relationship between a christian and a unbeliever.

as for me i feel like i came a little to hard on him and in reality undoing if you saw or met me in person our conversation wouldn't come off like it did.

That's alright, I think the main problem is difference in perspective. I suppose what I was trying to say earlier, where the best point was raised, was that a point of view is ok in itself but causes problems when the issue of right and wrong becomes the focal point.
No one likes hearing they are wrong (at least not all the time), so you have my respect for at least confronting this issue.
hello undoing.
Hi, I like your sense of humour. It's a bit bonkers, but I like it.

Trust me, you're fine. Be yourself, respond honestly, and focus on God, not the person who may or may not be challenging you inappropriately or otherwise.

If you felt that you may have over-reacted a bit, one apology is enough. Then move on.

Your heart is in the right place. Be blessed, my brother in Christ, and son of the Most High God.

true and besides the whole point of the demonic spirit. your not demonic in a way i'm not accusing you. i'm just saying spiritually i'm not connecting with you and you know, it hurts to see a fellow christian back away and become an unbeliever.

but seriously those posts were taking way out of context and i'm opened up to talk about any other "issue". if there is any i said?

because you are a non-believer. you have my respect for that. i'm not going to dislike someone that is a non-believer as a person. if we were to meet somewhere and i saw you and we began to talk. first i wouldn't even know if you were a non believer and second if i was to bring up an religious conversation it sure wouldn't be like how it was just now on the forum because its easier to talk about this subject face to face.

wow dude i feel like sooooooo embarrassed right now!!!!

Hi again, this forums abit hectic so I'll just add this one:
I really have tried to avoid making this about the reasons I don't believe and where I need to respond to questions surrounding this, I try to put it so you can tell that I speak from personal opinion.
As I'm really just trying to find middle ground with Christians for open dialogue, I've come across two main ideas. The first that has been said and acknowledged by others was that Talking about religion is a Christians reason for talking. I'm unsure if this is accurate, I hope someone will correct me otherwise. Secondly, that a nonbeliever isn't in himself considered to be "with" Satan but that his disbelief might be partly to do with Satan, or if not things in the world (considered Satan's domain), I hope once again I would be corrected. Lastly, I've come to a good conclusion at least in idea as I'm getting much feedback on it; that the believer/nonbeliever arguments likely become character attacks etc when a point of view is pushed toward the counterpart.
I'm interested how this idea can be made practical though.

hola again:wave:

it isn't hectic its just you had so many christians come at you with scripture and their view on atheism it was hard for you to find correct answers!;)

1) The first that has been said and acknowledged by others was that talking about religion is a Christians reason for talking.

actually no, like i said and this can be said for many christians. i personally wouldn't come to you and talk christianity. there is another life we have undoing. we do have fun there is things we do and talk about but we as christians try not to get sidetracked with god and try our best to stay with some positive talk about god in the mix.

that's as for me for instance. like if we were in a direct conversation and we were talking i.e. video games, movies, music. i could go on and on talking about those things but i would soon ask a question about your standing with religion.

but in my opinion no, religion is not a serious reason for me to talk.

2) Secondly, that a nonbeliever isn't in himself considered to be "with" Satan but that his disbelief might be partly to do with Satan, or if not things in the world (considered Satan's domain).

i would personally consider that as satan's way of confusing you spiritually but again as i said above when i mentioned "demonic spirit" we can sense that spirit and that's why we throw scriptures out.

if your disbelief is your disbelief it certainly means as said you don't have enough evidence to justify any clarification of worshiping god.

3) Lastly, I've come to a good conclusion at least in idea as I'm getting much feedback on it; that the believer/nonbeliever arguments likely become character attacks etc when a point of view is pushed toward the counterpart.

this is true it becomes character attacks and what we as christians and unbelievers need to realize is that we are human and we are not always going to see eye to eye on things, so what's the point of pressuring or criticizing someone on their own beliefs? i totally agree undoing:clap:

Yup, pride gets us nowhere. We all THINK we can prove our point of view to others...that is why so many debates are in these forums, and in the world. Let's face it, it takes more then just proof to get people to believe anything you say. It takes something absolutely AMAZING. That is the only way to drop the barriers that humans put around their minds to protect themselves from what they percieve as lies, and hold in their "truths".

That is why God has done several things in the past and present to first "shock" us into believing in His existance. And then to get us to believe his words. In the past, many jewish prophets were persecuted and it took them to do things like calling fire from heaven, or surviving inside a furnace, or being boild in oil only to emerge unharmed...took ALL THAT to get people to believe in the prophets. What a shame...
People are just to pridefull to just hear the words of others and believe. =/

What EXACTLY are you looking for undoing? It has been proven time and time again that God exist, and that Jesus is his son...The atheist during the time of the Romans WITNESSED John being boild in oil, and were shocked when he came out unharmed. Three men proved to King Nebecanezar of the Babylonians that their God reined supreme, but not only surviving the furnace they were tossed in...but emerging unharmed. Also, King Darius of Persia was shown that God had his hand on Daniel.

Go back even further, and you will see that Pharaohs Shishaq and Ramesses both were forced to acknowledge God (Though the later needed to get his butt handed to him over and over before he got it). Every single one of these rulers I have mentioned had their own reasons NOT to believe in the Lord. Also Each of these people are respected people in history. They were the rulers of empires, and deniers of the one true God until it was proven to them.

Soooo...again, what EXACTLY are you looking for?

I suppose to a certain extent it is wishful thinking. If I knew there were demons, I could believe in God.

well that perfectly makes sense so your kinda neutral in the mix of beliefs right now. you don't believe in satan or god. hmmmm, i can work with you now!;)

my bad, i must've misunderstood a post.
is your avatar picture wishful thinking, then? ;)

was that post you misunderstood referring to ummm me? because if i remember correctly i did refer to undoing having a demonic spirit:doh:

well i'm a gonna come on out n' ask...i'm outta da box like dat :p

oh, i already did hee hee

wow that's pretty ummmm cool there sis:cool: lol
