Stick out that noble chin and say 'G'day!' Do you really think they are better than you! When I go to church I sit with millionaires. And, they act no different than anyone else to me. I say 'G'day', and they grin & say 'G'day you'. But then...I am a bit cheeky. Some of them try to act righteous but, you don't judge a book by it's cover.
Lol Bev, I couldn't help but giggle. I used to have so much to do with wealthy people as a nanny, and really, they are just the same as you and me.

What's funny is at the moment, we are renting a house in one of the most wealthiest areas. We are next to a suburb where some houses are selling for almost $2,000,000. Incredible. I can only just imagine having that kind of money (and I don't think I want that much BTW) I go walking and look at these great big houses and go whooaaa.

Oh and by the way, God is good, our house isn't really that expensive compared to some of the other places we looked at renting in other areas of Canberra.

The thing is, I wanted a girl that loves God....HEAPS!!!!
And for a non-Christian to wakeup one day, get converted and says... I love God....I don't think that'll happen......it takes years to understand and finally find the time to admire God....
You are right, it is very important to be able to talk about God and to pray together. R and I are very compatible in our relationship with God. We pray together, and even though he is better with some things, I am better with others and somehow we meet in the middle. For example R is very, very intelligent (I suppose he would be, he pulls computers apart for a hobby lol) but has very little emotion and can be so cruel. Wheras I am not stupid, but I don't have his intellect and way of seeing things but I do have emotion and I do have compassion for people so I can deal with those who need it, whereas R can argue and debate until the cows come home. So somehow we get by. Our marriage counsellor (when we had to go and do counselling in the first year of our marriage - oooh that first year can be hard) joked that he was the brains of our marriage and I was the heart lol.

You need someone who can understand God almost as much as you seem to, and if she can't at least she is able to appreciate your ability to analyse doctrine and scriptures and want to listen to you do it. A non Christian, or someone who hasn't been Christian for very long would have a hard time doing that.

Well no i don't want to like him. I really need some me time and i was hoping not to fall for anyone in a while. I have just cpme out of 2 really serious relationships back to back, so i was looking to spend some time solo!!!
I know God will work it out at the right time, and i SO want this guy to like me back... but realistically he won't. Well i figure if you look at the worst case scenario you won't be devestated when it comes to past.... and if it works out then you are SO very happy!!! :pink:
That's what I'm trying to do mama, get to know him within a group situation. I find it so hard to talk to him when we are in a group, but one on one i am so very comfortable!!! I can talk to him for ages... weird huh...
Well i can guarentee that i would never be bored with this guy, hes a bit crazy!!! which makes it SO entertaining and fun to be around him.
I am so goneits not funny... and i'm restraining myself from letting myself like him as much as i want!!
Oh well... i'm sure when i get older i will figure out exactly why i liked him now and everything!!!;)
It seems you have your head screwed on properly. Just relax and wait. If it turns out this guy does like you, and you still feel you want some "me" time. Just tell him, if he is really the right one he will respect that and wait for you. I am reading a marriage book at the moment which basically says that in order to be complete as a couple, the two individuals need to be complete first, they also need to know how to be alone without the other one. It's pretty good stuff actually.

Yeah i know... i haven't been alone in over a year and a half and its a huge shock. I know that i need some me and God time and thats why i have said no to a date. Because i knew if i took that chance more than likely it would end up the same way. I need to figure out exactly who i am.... and then figure out what qualities i would like in a spouse!!! :help:
this could take some time!!!
I have been reading "I Kissed Dating Goodbye" by Johsua Harris, and it has really been opening my eyes as to some of the unhealthy things that i have done in the past while dating and also some of the unhealthy things that i am doing now that i have said i don't want to date. These books are really enjoyable... but i think some of the ideas are taken a little too far, but hey if it works for them, cool!!!
I swear if i didn't have this forum to come in and rant about things i would be a headcase... just actually sitting down and typing everything out makes you think about it logically and be able to work things out... its so great!!! And on the plus side, you get some wonderful advice as you go along!!! There can't be any bad there!!!

One thing i did realise was that i tend to become a bit infatuated with the guys that i start to like... i think about them all the time and start to daydream about them, and this isn't healthy. When i daydream and i come to a part of his personality i don't know about i make it up... its not a good thing. I am really going to have to make sure that i stop doing this cause it really isn't healthy!!!

But anyways... man long post again!!! ;) Sorry guys!!!
I really appreciate all of you....and i son't know what i would do with out you!!!:pink:

Blokes become infatuated with girls too lil. But, try not to figure out what qualities you would like in a spouse because when the right one comes along, he'll be exasperating at times, but, you'll love him just the same. And, you'll be exasperating to him at times too.
That's how love works. True love that is.
We all learn by mistakes honey! There isn't one of us perfect (...awww...maybe except me...hehe) But, life is a learning field.
Many things we learn make us repentant. But, this passes and we make more mistakes and learn again. That's Life. We pass from one phase to another and with it goes out wisdom.

Ah... my hair is in desperate need of a trim... and dye again
Mum said that for my birthday she would pay for me to get a cut and dye done.
I'm going to go back to blonde.... scary huh!!!
I don't dye my hair. I was born a blonde. So, now that my hair has gone honey blonde if I were to have it dyed to blonde I'd go red. Does that make sense?
No...
But I like to go & have my hair done. Catch up on all the happenings!!

Today I went shopping with my little boy. Bought a rockmelon for $2.00 (which is cheap around here) and a kilo of peaches for $2.00 as well. We are almost always stretching it a bit a few days before pay day. :(

Well, I came home and wanted to chat, but I tried to log on and the computer said that I couldn't because the system had locked me out????!!!?? What!!! I told R, and he said it was because I entered the wrong password a few times, but I only typed in the RIGHT password once. Anyway, the computer finsished it's toddler tantrum and obviously let me back on because here I am chatting to you now. I can tell R that the computer fixed itself and he doesn't have to worry about it now lol.

I made a chocolate pudding this afternoon, but if you want the recipe I will post it on the cooking forum sometime this afternoon.

Also, I used to dye my hair, I am a brunette, and occasionally I would put a rinse through it (like a chestnut colour or something) nothing major. I don't really have much time for it these days though. Actually to be honest if my hair has been washed twice a week that is a bonus lol.

Honestly Blessed, it makes my hair stronger and look and feel better. It never looks as good as it does the first couple of weeks after dying it.
I love it... I was born a blonde, but about 2 years ago i decided i wanted to go really brown... was a shock but it suits me too!!!
Going to try and go back to being blonde... may hate it, but then again may love it too!!! :D

I was never allowed to dye my hair. My high scool had a strict rule about no hair dye, so i dyed it for the first time when i was on schoolies. Mum didn't want me to so i didn't tell her and her face was priceless whn she was me when i got home!!! :p Although i only put a few moreblonde streaks in it mo make it blonder!!! Now i've caught the hair dye bug.... it gets done at least once a year, sometimes 2 or 3 times depending on my financial situation... ;)

chocolate pudding, mamaneenie!! yum!!

lol. glad to know it makes your hair stronger, lil. I guess experimenting with different colours can be fun. I remember my friends looking at the colour samples. There're so many to choose!
what's wrong with being a blonde? it's your natural colour..

Did someone mention chokkie pudding?? Hmmmnnn?
Had my hair trimmed & look more like me now. Then went to the Supermarket & met up with some mates & had a yarn. Had to refill my fruit bowl. Oh boy! I'll be glad when the nectarines, peaches, pears & apples are ripe! And the grapes! I'm waiting for the rest of the figs to ripen & grab them before the birds do.
Nobody was having a hair dye up there lil_one...but, Thelma was having a perm and stink!!! I don't know how they can have their hair permed!
A hair rinse wouldn't be bad now & then. I wonder?...nah...I'll stay honey blonde.

Gosh...you had a problem logging Mama? Does R know what happened?
I never log out. Sometimes I think time runs out & I have to re log in.

Your not the only one, my roots are showing once again, time for a touch up. Its nice to be pampered once in a while. I started going grey at 18. I blame my mother, she went grey young also. So I would dye it, now I have the works done. Cut, dye, foils etc, helps that my SIL is a hairdresser otherwise couldn't afford to. I would leave it alone, but I'm to young to be grey......

Today I haven't done much. Kept out of the house this morning as M is on nightshift, again. Joshie had his hair cut, he looks so grown up, he had a no3 and its all spiked on top, makes him look older than two. The boys BOTH slept this avro for a couple of hoursm, so I did the shopping online, as its going to be a headache to get to woolies this week, and the cupboards are bare. Went for a drive for an afternoon outing and the thunderstorm decided to come in, which has nicely cooled down the day. Now its time to cook dinner, chicken stirfry and have a nice glass of chardy or two. M is going to play squash and then go to work, so once the boys are in bed, its E time till morning.

I'm lucky, hardly a grey hair. But, my daughter has the most beautiful white hair!! She was just sooooo blonde & kept having it dyed to keep it blonde. Then her hair started to dry out. The new growth came out white. And, it is beautiful!! *jealous*
She never had it dyed again...wonder why? She's a natural platinum blonde!

I ended up going for a drive & rescued a tortoise off the road.
Thunderstorm? Oh to hear the sound...It is tinderbox dry around here. But, they have stripped & harvested so, we pray for good soaking rains.
Looks like it was a day for hair trims!
