What Did You Do Today?

Anything interesting? I did! I worked beneath the gums digging out blackbox...*yuk* tended the sheep, took my little dog for a walk, fed the fish & the birds. Planted more strawberries too!

Jim? Can I ask how much it costs for your orchids? Where I buy mine they seem to be very reasonable priced from $15 to $30.
And...is there a special liquid manure for orchids?
I'm going over to look at some orchids tomorrow.

Yesterday was pretty hectic. Helped dad finish putting up Josh ceiling fan, had lunch with friends, a soak in their out door spa and took the christmas lights down from the house. Today I do nothing.

today, went to church and shopping, helped out at church library. Fun!
tonight: going to watch 'Killer Ants' on ABC. Let's hope i don't forget..

Church. Down to get the Sunday Herald Sun then out to the garden to prune and tidy, rake and clean. My garden is too big! Woe is me! Having a barbeque tonight though!
Then...what's on TV? Nil. Oh well!

Well... yesterday i slept in and missed Church... wasn't happy...
But my sister arrived home just as i would have been leaving and i haven't seen her for 2 weeks. She's been on a missions trip. so it was a plus there coz i wouldn't have seen her til late last night if i had made it to church.
Then i went to the beach with church people... was really hot and sand really sux!!!
Then we went back to one of the guys places and played cards til 10pm.
Was really nice and i'm actually getting pretty good at cards. I can now play euka(sp?), poker and up and down the river... and NOT come last!!! YAY!!!!
Got to chat to the 'guy' i have myeye on so all is good!!!

Oooh, lil, I would so much love to go to the beach, but we live 3 hours away and our car is falling apart. Probably won't get to the beach until next summer.

Yeah the beach was really nice, and i managed to stay sunburn free... which was nice!!!
We've been going to the beach at least once a week lately, which has been pretty good. It means that i can get a tan gradually. I'm one of those people who starts out white, goes red, peels and goes back to white!!! Its really very frustrating!!!

Yeah.. i really enjoyed my chat. It was really nice!!!

It really depends on the orchid, and how desperate I was. I got a dendrobium that costed me $50, and that was a really good quality dendrobium. Then my mum pulled it out and replanted it, it died and I'm still kinda very annoyed because she kept saying to me I can't grow orchids...anyways I adopted her dying Phal, and now it's growing like Crazy...

These days I buy seedlings, because they're cheaper, and adapt far easier than adult plants.
For fertilisers, theres not really anything special except, don't use rose or tulip fertilisers.... Use something like Charlie Carp or Seaweed solution...

Generally adult plants, I pay around $20....there are some ripoff shops...but then again, it's so hard to find the same plant anywhere....

As for me, yesterday we went to church, then to MIL for lunch. R had to go to work for a few hours last night, so I Dan and I did our thing. Dan played by himself while I ironed R's work gear and did a little bit of cooking for the week. I don't really like cooking every night, so if I can I cook and then freeze it for later on.

No mama... i don't know him that well, was just taken by him form pretty much the first couple of times i met him. Just developing a friednship at the moment. So even if nothing happens, there will still be a strong friendship. I'm not ready for any relationships at the moment. Quite happy to stay here in crush land!!!

And besides, most of my friends are either in another state or in another country...lol......where else to meet new Christians I wonder?....

I met the only 2 serious relationships I have ever had in church, one I almost married, but God had other ideas It was horrible at the time though. The second one I did married, even though he was so not the person I had in mind. Again God had other ideas, and I am so glad his ideas are better than mine lol.


Oh the other thing is, I've always thought it wise to marry someone who is your best friend, because you can fall in and out of love as quickly as the weather changes, but if you are friends with the person you should be alright when tough times come (as they do)

I don't mind a bit of matchmaking either. Married off two of our friends a couple of years ago. But their seems to be a shortage of young single christian women, on our side of town, we have four single guys in our home group, all in there late 20's early 30's. lol.

I was so happy to be single, God sent me a friend who became my husband lol. That is seriously how I met my husband, by just chatting after church (after we decided that we were too grown up to insult each other that is, and it didn't look good in front of the other people each of us were interested in)
