The one who created him, YHWH. And He gave testamony regarding the fact. And, His word is trustworthy.

Yhwy's testimony is hearsay and therefor inadmissible. What you have is written testimony, not given at the time of the incident, nor by the eyewitness. That's the law.

It isn't herarsay, it is an eyewitness account told to a reliable person who recorded the events surrounding the event.

What you are describing is a second-hand revelation. I don't think the intellect of a Thomas Paine is required to see the inherent problem with such.

Do you know what hearsay means?

An eye witness account related by someone other than the eye witness, is called hearsay. e.g. the person you hear it from heard it from someone else = hearsay.

You contend God told the series of Genesis stories to an individual who later wrote them down? In what language did God speak to this individual? Are you contending that Moses was this individual?

I am gettting very frustrated with people who put their brain in their back pocket and just parrot things they have been told with out thinking...

Adam and Eve... real people?
Jonah really swallowed by a fish?
Noah and the world wide flood?
Thousands slain with the jawbone of an ass?
Sun stopped in the sky for several hours?
Wrestling with angels?
Pillars of salt?
Angel of death?
Hell?

It is no wonder people are either refusing to believe in God or turning their brains off... if this is what we need to accept as literal reality in order to be Christians... count me out.

I am so tired of hearing "I don't know how it is possible but it's in The Bible so I believe it."

So to the OP... was he created a baby, young man (16) adult (30) ... did he have a beard? navel? immune system? muscles? could he speak? what was the focal distance for his brand new eyes? could he walk immediately like a calf or colt or did he need to learn how to walk? dark or light skin? long hair or short?

If you believe he was a real person, aren't these kinda problematic?
I've been asked whether the chicken or the egg came 1st. Well, of course the chicken.
You either believe all of the bible or you don't. Pretty simple.

Actually the chicken as we know it today most likely evolved from another similar bird. The first actual chiken would have came from an egg. So the logical answer is that the egg came first :p

As for believing all of the bible or not it really has very little to do with it. The question is do you believe these stories are literal or are they something else.

No one believes that the entire bible is literally true. If they did we would be able to recognize them in an instant as they would be the ones being pushed around in wheel chairs with no hands, no legs and no eyes.

No, I am describing the revelation of an infinite God to a mortal man (Moses by name), who is a reliable spokesman for what he had been told.

The series of events which comprise the book known as "Genesis" was spoken to Moses, probally in Hebrew, yet the language does not add nor take away from the message.

And there was an eyewitness to this "event"?

Of course there was. The chicken and it's momma bird :p

Have you talked to any eye witnesses of creation lately or are you depending on interpretations of translations of interpretations of hearsay from people who you have never met?

What could you possibly be getting at with this question? Since man wasn't there at the hatching of the first chicken it isn't possible? OR that man was there to witness it on the 6th day and he doesn't report about it? BY the way, how long does it take to lay a fertilized egg and then have it hatch? When could have the first egg hatching event occurred according to The Bible?
My favorite "how can you believe Genesis is literal" question is this: Was Adam created with genitalia and if so why? He had no need for it because Eve wasn't created until later... when God realized that "They" had made an error of ommission and that Adam was lonely.

I also don't believe in Noah's Ark... that's just a silly story... and it no more believable than the little old woman who lived in a shoe.

Sam, the little old woman who lived in a shoe is a central tenet of my religion - and for you to simply dismiss it without reading any of our scriptures or holy books is arrogance, you need to let the shoe into your life, open your heart to the shoe and stop being so stubborn.

If you deny the shoe it will be your own fault when you find yourself sent to the cobblers.

I will pray for you.

OOPS! You see the satellite picture of a wreck on Mt Ararat in Turkey? What if it turns out to be filled with petrified feces of every living species?

E.g., the petrified feces of all 200,000 species of beetles? If that happens I will immediately start speaking in tongues.

Yes I have His name is YHWH, and I talked to Him just a few minutes ago. Since He was the one who created all of this I think He is a reliable witness to the event. Who is your "witness"?

Science requires a witness to the effects that it seeks to define. If there is no witness it is just a guess, ins't it?
