Marxism is a political ideology that was based around ideas drawn from history, economics and sociology.

Again, no it wasn't.

Nazism was a political and racial ideology that was based around ideas drawn from Italian Fascism, German history and concepts of race that pre-date Darwin and are largely religious in character (Martin Luther says hi!). The Nazis banned the teaching of evolution, even putting Origin Of the Species on a banned books list.

Eugenics pre-dates Darwin, it just got a new name in the 1880s and a veneer of scientific credibility. Yes, horrible things were done, but it's not Darwin's fault that someone misapplied his thinking, any more than its Henry Ford's fault if someone gets run over by a car.

Darwin assembled a theorertical frame work to describe the development of species from other species based on his observations an the observations of others. His book is not a text on genetics or the origin of life. (Since he had no evidence related to those and no theory of either.)
