Maybe if Trump admitted to the multiple abortions he's likely funded over the years - it might get some movement on that issue as well. lol

Well there is such a thing as repentance.

I guess only believers understand that?

Honestly did not know that he repented or that he is a true believer?

Along that line - has Trump actually repented? What contrition are you basing your "forgiveness" upon?

I'm not going to judge either one of those gentlemen for their sexual misdeeds. Actually my own past does not look that pretty.

But, I have repented and would not return to those sins to day for a million dollars cash. Even if knowing the little Mountain Lady would never find out.

Many times sin will have a nice little taste in the beginning but, in the end is very bitter.

Self control is one of the fruits of the spirit. I'm hoping that Clinton and Trump and myself can practice that today. Sometimes it truly is one day at a time.

I will add also, from my experience women are capable of forgiving a lot when their spouses are completely honest and forthright, Where they usually finally have enough is when the truth keeps coming out little by little which is what us men(many women) are more prone to doing. If a man has had 5 affairs and he confesses everything, lays all bare and opens his life to accountability more times than not his wife will forgive. However if he only confesses the one he got caught in or the one when he's had enough, she starts the reconciliation process then another one comes out or she finds out about his porn addiction and it's more than she can take and she's done. The trust is truly shattered because the fear is she'll never know the whole truth. Most experts say if you're thinking about coming clean with your wife, hold off until you have a support group in your life, men who will both support you in what you're going through and hold you to accountability, then come 110% clean.

There's adultery and there's a carefully thought out decision, based on your wife's wishes and her terminal illness (Alzheimer's disease), to find someone who loves you both and has dedicated herself to make your wife's last few orbits around the sun as joyful, and fulfilling as it can be. That has nothing to do with wild three ways, having a mistress, or any form of cheating.

According to Jesus, even having lust in our hearts for another...is committing adultery. So nearly all of your poll choices would be adultery. Online flirting etc...flirting doesn't necessarily mean lustful, but it would eventually lead there, if left unchecked.

OP...Jesus said that if you looked upon another woman with lust, that's adultery, right?

Y'all both messed up. You have 2 choices...counseling and rebuilding trust OR calling it quits so you both can follow your hormones around.

I might be one of those "nasty liberals" around here but here's the deal...you both had a CHOICE to not act on whatever it was that was motivating you (see hormones). You both CHOSE to do stupid things. Actions have consequences. Biblically, YOU violated the covenant just by lusting after another woman. Quit trying to deflect blame here buddy...look in the mirror and realize your own faults and issues. Don't worry about what your wife is doing, worry about what you have done and are doing.

I am facing the reality of losing my beloved husband to cancer...he is terminal and MAY make it to our anniversary this fall. I have already determined that I will never remarry...EVER...nor will I pursue another relationship. I know technically I am biblically free to remarry since I would be a widow and fulfilled my vow "until death do us part"...but that's a big, fat NOPE!
