JN 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
My guess is you're trying to get me to practice some form of what is called the law. The commandments of Jesus are not called the law anywhere in the NT.Which of these commandments are not law?
You cannot die in your sins.

I've not idea why you're asking me this.
I wanted to get back to this ...
Could you further explain what you mean by your statement "You cannot die (earthly death) in your sins" ???
I discovered something else that will warm your heart!I do want you to learn from people that hear from the Holy Spirit which you have in Finney. I just want it to be pure, and not tainted with any Sardis teachings that Jesus called dead. They are popular for liberal reasons.
‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. 2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God. 3 Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. 4 You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. 5 He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
I see things how you do. I don't accept them which cause friction with us.Galatians 6:2
"Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ."
Since we're just going around in circles over words, I'm gonna leave it at that and I will pray that I can see things how you do, and I hope that you would pray to see things how I do, as the Spirit unites us in prayer and Abba will bless our agreement. Amen.
OK That isn't my opinion. Paul was talking about his current life in Jesus. I experience the same war. I'm tempted all the time, sometimes I win and sometimes my body wins. You can interpret that any way you desire.Because you said this, "You've talked about Rom 7 about Paul trying to say he had no war or problem with sin. I just can't buy that.
I'm sure some will misread what you said. Some will say I did.I discovered something else that will warm your heart!
Actually, the legalist and the true convert actually do the same works of the Law, but for entirely different motives. Being converted to Christ does not mean that we escape from the obligation to follow God's moral Law. It is the Mosaic ceremonial Law that we leave behind.
The legalist follows the moral Law to escape judgment, punishment and hell. He follows it in order to be saved. He does it for entirely selfish reasons, not for God's glory or for the good of all. It is a burdensome duty for him, but he does not have personal happiness if he cannot follow it perfectly.
The true convert receives salvation by faith, but then follows the exact same moral Law, but to glorify Christ and for the good of all others. He follows the Law and does exactly the same works of the Law as the legalist, but because he loves God, knows that he is saved by grace, and loves to do what he can to follow the commandments of Christ because it is good in itself to follow them. Salvation by faith brings peace to him, and following the commandments brings happiness, especially when he sees that Christ is glorified and others are benefiting from it.

I went over my post and still missed what you claim I said here. Do you mind quoting me with a reference?Because you said this, "You've talked about Rom 7 about Paul trying to say he had no war or problem with sin. I just can't buy that.
The answer to your question is yes. The first commandment is to love the Lord Jesus and the second commandment is like it, to love your neighbor/brother as your self. All of The Commandments of Christ are fulfilled by loving the brethren which is to fulfill the first commandment, as it is written: he that has my Commandments and keeps them, he it is that loves me. I hope you can understand these things.

neither are new...Deuteronomy 6:5 and Leviticus 19:18
If it were old the so-called Jews would love the Lord Jesus and keep his Commandments which is fulfilled by loving your neighbor in Christ.neither are new...Deuteronomy 6:5 and Leviticus 19:18
I think you need to read the texts. If words are deleted from them you can claim they're quotes from the OT.neither are new...Deuteronomy 6:5 and Leviticus 19:18
You even quoted what I said. You're not reading all the words in my statement. Here's what I said -It was in your post #336

By this we know we love the children of God when we love Jesus and keep his Commandments.
I know where it is written but today those two are fulfilled by The Commandments of Christ and not by The works of the law. Where it is written in the old testament is in relation to the law not the New testament. Therefore those words in the old testament are just that: old. The new although similar is in relation to the New testament and the Commandments of Christ.those commandments are from The Torah...
