Good music you have there, although personally I am not big fan of post 80s U2 and hadnt heard about Ariel & Supremos before. I googled them and they seemed to be gospel band. Clips on their site sounded pretty good.
Yeah, a real fan always likes the old stuff better! No matter how much the bands themselves always proclaim their upcoming albums their 'best ones ever'. I like All That You Can't Leave Behind, however, there are a few real gems like 'Walk On' and 'When I Look At The World' and I even find it a more balanced cd than The Joshua Tree.

A very uplifting wholeness for me and still, after six years has something in it to get me up and going.
Ariel's one of my best long-time friends and surprisingly his band began to gain recognition a couple of years ago even though I wasn't playing the guitar for them any longer.

(well
that was many years ago, me playing the guitar in their band) Yeah, they play 'gospel music' or 'CCM' to be more exact in these non-Finnish circumstances. Their lyrics aren't overtly evangelical, however, or what do you think of the fact that they were cited as 'the coldplay of Finland' in a review of their record in
Rumba. Well hey, isn't it Marzi Nyman who produced their album?
BTW, they are playing in the church of Hämeenkylä today at 6 pm, so you're welcome there if you got no other plans!

That's a great avatar by the way.

"Mietaan Jussi" quintessential Finn, national hero and one tough hombre. He eats logs and *bleebs* cross-country skies, has more facial hair than most Belarussian female shot putters,...
Right! I hear Mietaa is running for MP, after all. I hear that Vanhanen had personally visited him in Kurikka and persuaded him to join the ranks of Keskusta. And just what/who do you think comes to people's mind here in Helsinki when they see me jogging with walking sticks in my hands and a jogging suit on me that says 'Rasti-Kurikka' in the back?
And here's my updated list:
Liquid Tension Experiment: Experiment 2
U2: All That You Can't Leave Behind
Phil Collins: Dance Into The Light
Blindside: About A Burning Fire
Coldplay: X & Y
Toto: Hydra
