  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What cd's have you been listening to?

Yes actually. Call me crazy, but I actally believe it's their best release since the first Mindcrime. Yes, better than Empire (which I honestly wasn't that impressed with).
I only know Mindcrime I and Empire, Mindcrime I is one of my favourite albums and Empire, I'm with you on that'n. I think I'll have to get MII at some point.

Going to take the easy road and just name the three cds currently in my player. And they are... "The Ratpack and Friends", a Beatles collection, and...a mix that a friend at work made for me, as sort of a parting gift when I left for college. Because I'm bored, the songs featured, at my request:

1. Baba Yetu, (Christopher Tin). This is the Lord's Prayer sung in Swahili.

2. "I Call Your Name", Johnny Clegg
3. "Dela", Johnny Clegg
4. "You Give Love a Bad Name", Bon Jovi
5. "I'd Do Anything", Simple Plan
6. "Boulevard of Broken Dreams", Green Day
7."Hard to Say I'm Sorry", Chicago
8. "Photograph", Nickleback
9. "Ever the Same", Rob Thomas
10. "Keep On Lovin' You", REO Speedwagon
11. "The Time of Your Life", Green Day
12. "Wake Me Up When September Ends", Green Day
13. "Self Control", Laura Branigan
14. "Inside Out", Eve 6

A few other songs, but you get the idea. I'll listen to pretty much anything but rap.
