What brings you here to CF (and/or CF singles)?

I joined to understand Christian theology better and eventually became non-Christian so it seems a bit fruitless in retrospect. Meanwhile, I have made lots of friends that I keep in contact on mediums other than CF. I mostly just go here now to rid myself of boredom or to make people uncomfortable.

Main reason for being here: more Christian fellowship. I really prefer to have more offline Christian fellowship, but since I'm not getting enough of it as I would like, I am here.

I came to seek prayers and encouragement after having my grandmother pass away. I didn't have much friends so CF was a cool place to talk to awesome people.

I was looking for a good online Christian community. Though I didn't post much in my first year, but a few months ago I gave it another shot, and I finally clicked with this place. I'm now here daily, and I enjoy making new friends, and just having fun.

Well... I built these 8 castles with needless lava pits, reptiles and rotating fireballs, so I'm really just here until I gain the trust of a Christian princess so I can steal her away to the last of my atheist castles.

I came because when I went looking for my old message board I found out it had been annihilated and there was no trace left. So I set out to find a new one, found CF through a Google search, went to the Singles section and saw it was a hopping joint. So I joined. And then I started posting like crazy to try to get people to know me and it turns out there are some pretty amazing posters on this board. So I stay for the people but I make a habit out of leaving (quietly) for a few weeks and then sneaking back in.

I joined way back when about 4 years ago because someone recommended this place to me and I haven't stopped coming since. I try to leave but it just drags me back!
Honestly though I do love this place, it can have its drama just like any other place does, but the difference is is we get over it. And I really feel connected and liked here. It's a nice feeling to belong.

I'm encouraged by the diverse backgrounds and faiths of being united under one roof of fellowship. Who would have thought! A bunch of heathens gathered together (myself included!)

As a keen user of the Internet and with my eyes on the latest technologies and ways of communicating online, I am beginning to appreciate the communication done through forums. I often find the most thoughtful and inspiring comments/views shared on forums, compared to the likes of Facebook and Twitter. I mean, would a random comment or status update to say, 'I'm eating breakfast' be food for thought (pun not intended), and yet in Facebook, we tend to reveal more about ourselves with others, but it's not exactly a sustaining way of communication either, as I've learnt from a broken relationship last year.

But best of all is the face-to-face contact and communication. Even today at work, I enjoyed the company and banter of others, not so much as killing time, but enjoying each other's company and that is something as a single bloke - I now get. The LORD God ordained marriage in the beginning in Genesis and the LORD God ordained marriage in the end, in Revelation, when those who confess that Jesus is LORD and Saviour are reunited with Our Creator, Our Father in Heaven. In the meantime, we are to enjoy and embrace and value the friendships that we have, whether it is with family, close friends, long-distant relationships (even online!), colleagues at work, with our adopted family at church and in general, to whom we meet in our everyday lives.

I hope I don't sound preachy, but I just felt led to share what I felt led to share.
