You don't have to list all your books if you don't want to, just your favorites will be fine enough.

I'm a book worm, I love books and after I discovered the wonders of Amazon.com, I've begun building my own library in my room. As it is, I have about hundred books on the wish list and it excites me when I order and receive some in the mail each week. So here are some of the books I own so far:

Christian Books:
ESV Study Bible - Crossaway Bibles
Knowing God - J.I.Packer
Knowing God Study Guide - J.I.Packer
Christian Beliefs - Wayne A. Grudem and Elliot Grudem
Telling Yourself The Truth - William Marie and Backus Chapian
Jesus: The Greatest Life of All - Charles R. Swindoll
Eternity in Their Hearts - Don Richardson

Martial Art Books:
The Way of the Warrior - Chris Crudelli
Box like the Pros - Joe Frazier and William Dettloff
Boxing's Ten Commandments - Alan Lachica and Doug Werner

Cook Books:
Off Duty - David Nicholls
How to Cook Everything Vegetarian - Mark Bittman and Alan Witschonke
I'm Just Here For the Food - Alton Brown

Art Books:
The Complete Idiot's Guide to Creating a Graphic Novel - Nat Gertler and Steve Lieber
Filmmaking For Dummies - Bryan Micheal Stoller
The Big Picture - Hammish Keith
The Animator's Survival Kit - Richard Williams
Drawn To Life - Walt Stanchfield
People and Poses - Buddy Scalera
The Fantasy Artist's Figure Drawing Bible - Matt Dixon

I own books but I only ever read the Bible. Everything else I find difficult to keep my focus on, at the moment.

Nevertheless, when I used to read, I'd try not to spend my money on books because I'd want to buy every single one of them...and I absorbed a lot. Usually, at a bookstore or library, I'd gravitate towards philosophy books, self-improvement, fantasy. At a Christian bookstore, I used to go nuts with all the books I wanted to read. I stick to the Bible, lol. Less stressful and less money involved. After all, we're supposed to be content with the things that we needed, that God has given us.

If I seriously started I'd be here all day.

Everything readily available by C.S. Lewis except for "English Literature in the 16th Century Century: Excluding Drama" which I used to own but gave as a birthday present decades ago. (And I most likely have a copy of 'The Screwtape Letters' which was 'translated' intop American and buthcered in the process).

The vast majority of Heinlein, but excluding the 'Unabridged' version of 'Stranger ina Strange Land'. That work was cut because it should have been (according to Heinlein in Grumbles from the Grave). Unlike 'Podkaine of Mars' And Red Planet where changes wer made against his desired (And where things differ the original is in an appendex in Grumbles).

Most of the works of Niven, Pournelle, Dickson, Asimov and Saberhagen. (And a lot of others I am forgetting right now).

A 6 or 7 volume set of collected sermons. Not home right now so I forget if it is Calvin or Luther. The institutes by Calvin. A small booklet that is called somethgin like "The Golden booklet of the Christian Life' which is a samll excerpt of the Institutes and feels totally different than the same section of the Institutes (both are translations to English, no differences where one can say they 'disagree' but the 'poetic impact is hugely different)

A lot of Bonhoeffer and his Biography by Bethge.

The 120 days of Sodom by deSade and Venus in Furs by Sacher von Masoch.

A couple of Deborah Tannen's books on communication. She actually makes sense and has substance, to bad that "Men are from Mars..." is a catchy title.

Oh and Ties that Bind by Guy Baldwin and Learning the Ropes by Race Bannon.

I have an eclectic library.

The only actual books I own are The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy (all 4 books in one set), the Harry Potter series and The Complete Works of Sherlock Holmes in Two Volumes; the rest are on the Kindle and that would take forever and a day to list ^_^
