I don't take part in any " community" of L- people,Hi I've been to pride loads of times haven't noticed any of the behaviour your mentioning what I have noticed is people supporting each other, people having fun and being wholesome and just generally wonderful, a lot nicer than I've seen anyone behaving on this forum if I'm being honest.
Gimme a break. It has always, until you guys started complaining about it, been about sexual abuse. No it hasn't. That's your side that changes language. Grooming had always had more than one definition that depended on context. It's a perfect description as to what is going on. You guys just want to focus on one definition and make the claim that's all it means and then claim that's the one that we mean. We know better. Grooming is a good word.
I'll add that to my list of terms used about gay people. Oh, plus this one: If they get to close to me, I will start swinging and it is just a reflex.I am not homophobe, I am homo repulsed. They repulse me.

'One tool common to those who sexually abuse kids is grooming: manipulative behaviors that the abuser uses to gain access to a potential victim, coerce them to agree to the abuse, and reduce the risk of being caught.' Grooming: Know the Warning Signs | RAINN
It has lost all meaning with the way it is bandied about these day. It now means just what the person using it wants to mean.
Kind of like bigot. We used to know what it meant but now there are so many other things that can earn you that labelGimme a break. It has always, until you guys started complaining about it, been about sexual abuse.

Don't worry about such as H. repulsia or whatever.I'll add that to my list of terms used about gay people. Oh, plus this one: If they get to close to me, I will start swinging and it is just a reflex.
Thanks.
Still means what it's always meant to me: obstinate or unreasonable attachment to a belief, opinion, or faction, in particular prejudice against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group.Kind of like bigot. I think that what people really believe should be aired. The anonymity of the forum allows that. A little direct sunshine on such comments does wonders. It makes reasonable people who might hold to some biased opinions think 'Hey, I really don't want to be associated with views like that or with people who hold them'.Don't worry about such as H. repulsia or whatever.
The more motionally overwrought they get,
the more you know it's their own inner self that
they're repulsed by.
I’m not denying that it’s applicable for certain people but it’s become overused,Still means what it's always meant to me: obstinate or unreasonable attachment to a belief, opinion, or faction, in particular prejudice against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group.
I think it's against the rules to quote someone to make a point, but you don't have to scroll back more than a few posts to see a couple of comments that would exactly match that definition. And I think you'd agree that the definition, and hence the term, is applicable.
The more emotionally overwrought they get, the more you know it's their own inner self that they're repulsed by.
We honestly have difficulty in seeing that people think is satirical and not further evidence as to what exactly is going on.The statement is telling you that the term is being used satirically. Hence that song. It's poking fun at those who think these things. I honestly find difficulty is seeing people not grasp this.
Iv brought that point up umpteen times, but there remains those who refuse to acknowledge it. You can state it till you are blue in the face and they will still reject it.Drag queen story hour. Drag queen shows for kids with erotic dancing in kinky leather outfits. LGBTQ curriculum of multiple genders and orientations in elementary schools.
See that satire disclaimer would only work if all that and more wasn't going on. But it is. In spades.
Doesn't matter. They will reject that definition as well.I avoid that by calling it brainwashing instead of grooming.
I think your response is understandable. Not every BLM march turned into a riot either. But that does not mean it doesn't happen and isn't prevelent in places. It's like saying I've been to the East Coast many times and never been caught in a hurricane. As if you think it's not a serious event that is happening.Hi I've been to pride loads of times haven't noticed any of the behaviour your mentioning what I have noticed is people supporting each other, people having fun and being wholesome and just generally wonderful, a lot nicer than I've seen anyone behaving on this forum if I'm being honest.
