I have two really, but I'm working on a Christian novel called
Two Fathers, One Life.
It's about a young girl who's mother was killed in a hit and run by her father when she was only seven. Before her mother was killed, the girl's mother was a devoted Christian and always took her daughter to church and loved her very much.
I can't quite remember why he killed her, I have to look over my notes again, but the young girl now motherless is forced to live with her father since she has no place to go. Her father is abusive both physically and verbally, but she is forced by her father to not reviel his ways or he will kill her.
What happened at the hit and run was that the daughter and her mother were walking down the street on the sidewalk around 8:00 one night, so naturally, when the girl's mother was hit and killed, the girl saw everything. Like the promise she made to her father not to tell anyone about his behavior, she was also made to promise not to tell anyone about how she knew what happened to her mother. No one else did but her and her father.
Eventually, when the girl hits 18, she meets another girl at her high school named Leah. After what the girl had been through since her mother was killed, she was not allowed to go to church anymore, or really do anything except be a slave to her father and attend school. So all her friends from before her mom was killed faded away.
But Leah was different. She reaches out to the teenager and becomes the girl's newest and closest friend. And eventually discoveres the girl's secret about her father and past life.
The thing about Leah is, she attends the same church that this girl used to attend with her mother, though the girl had never met Leah then.
It is up to Leah to help this girl through her problems, help her to stand up to her father, and to bring her back to Christ.
And that's all I'm going to say.
Amazing how I know all this about the novel itself already, yet all I have are a few typed pages of plot and character outlines right now.
