today i just ordered my new mobile phone ^_^
and tomorrow morning im playing (finally) for the first time in my church band! and the surprising thing for me is we're only doing 2 hillsong songs!! thats a huge cut back from the 5 we usually do each week.
the list is:
1. hillsong - God is Great
2. CCC - oxford falls - I'm gonna praise your name
3. (i dont know who wrote it but its from the michael w smith - worship album) - Open the eyes of my heart
4. hillsong - Sing (Your Love)
5. (as above M.W.Smith - worship) The Heart of Worship

i think its a good change from the usual hillsong songs (not saying i dont think theyre good, but its good to have some change)

Well....today:

I worked, and then went to the bank to cash a check, then drove down to the computer parts store to get a couple of memory cards, then drove to an Open House party at a store where my mom works...great food, great demos on what we'll with our sewing, quilting and serging for 2005. Then I drove to a fabric store and bought 2 more fleece blankets to serge-edge. THEN I went home. *thud*

Man, I've got more to do tomorrow AND sunday. As much as I love Christmas, I can't wait for it to end. I"m SO tired! LOL

Today...

Got up WAAAAAY early for some reason. Decided to go to my house and unpack more. Ended up completeing the whole kitchen, and having a visit from my mum and step-dad (he hadn't seen it before, and thought it a lovely house).

Went and saw B's cricket team finish demoralising the other team in the second innings. Had a nice bbq with them after the game. As we were on the other side of the city, decided to go and look at the first place I lived in in Brisbane, which wasn't the greatest idea (I want to burn it down still - not the most pleasant of memories associated with that house)...

Just going to rest tonight and probably watch 'George of the Jungle'... have to go back to my house and pick up tablets I accidently packed.

Matt Redman wrote Heart of Worship - excellent song!!

I had a very busy day at work roday filling orders and coping with the busyness of the first Saturday of December at Koorong! At the end of my shift I got a SMS from mum saying that my dad was in hospital nursing a badly injured finger (industrial accident that I still don't know too much about). He's still there, so if you could be praying for him, I would really appreciate it, because even if it's not serious, he will still be off work for a few weeks.

I hope it's not too serious Kris! Of course we will pray for him!
Thank you, Bev  He's going into Westmead Hospital at 10am tomorrow to see whether it'll need major surgery - he severed some nerves in his right thumb doing some drilling at work this morning. :sigh:

Thanks Kris! Have been praying...

Well today I had breakfast for the first time in months  B is watching the end of Babylon 5 (he has all the DVDs), and then we're going shopping for Christmas, and so he can get a haircut (he cut his ponytail off weeks ago, and there's a definite fuzz happening again!)...

We'll probably go to church again later...

Thanks Sasch! It's great to see how faithful in prayer that we are when someone requests it! :) My dad goes in for his operation at 1pm at Westmead...and I'll probably not be online again until later tonight because of the usual Sunday arvo activities I'm committed to.

Kristian, sorry to hear about your dads thumb! I hope the surgery went well...

:sigh: Rob, what happned that meant you guys couldnt play this morning??

I spent the weekend on Beach Mission Houseparty... had a great time! People could go up and stay over Friday night at no extra cost, so the three of us from my church decided to do so after youth group Friday night. After detouring to drop a friend off at one of her friends places, and a large number of roadworks, we arrived about 1am in the morning. Trying to be quiet as to not disturb others we went through the rooms to see who was there, only to find that we were the only people there!! So then we were a little bit... or maybe a lot louder  although i'm embarrassed to say we realised there was a large number of other people there from another camp group the next morning... but back to friday night, around three am one of us decided we should drive to terrigal (from morrisset) to go to the 24hour bakery place. so we did that, and ended up getting back to the campsite at 5am just as the kookaburras were starting to sing their morning songs. So got up at 9am the next morning for a 9.30 start. I'm also assuming that i was bitten by a spider during that time of sleep, since i have fang marks on my finger next to where it is swollen!

So saturday was very busy, including 2 hours of scrubbing our marquee roof/walls clean...

And this morning was more stuff, including a pamphelt drop of the entire area that we are going...

All in all i had a great weekend, and finally got to get to know the people I was going with. I'm looking forward to it :D

we didnt have our regular drummer, so one of the other guys was going to play drums and i was going to play guitar, but on the day he didnt feel confident enough to play them so he stuck to the guitar, and they had an 'unplugged' praise n worship session, so there was only 2 accoustic guitars..
ahwell not to worry it went well :) now im pushing to get a youth service started up. :D
