My wife is reading this and I occasionally do over her shoulder Maybe I shouldn't say this, because it's quite brilliant, but a bit scarier than many other things I've read.

i finished The Religion of the Apostles by Stephen De Young last weekend. Next is In the Garden of the Holy Spirit by Saint Iakovos of Evia.
However, I think I want to revisit a chapter or two in the De Young book before I start something new.

Just finished (again) Fr. Seraphim Rose's "The Soul After Death". What a great read!

I drive my wife crazy (well...one of the ways I drive my wife crazy ) by reading more than one book at a time. Currently they are: "Sing To Your Soul: The Narrative of Salvation History In Selected Passages by St. John Chrysostom" trans. by David Ford; "Be Ready: An Approach To The Mystery Of Death" by Hieromonk Gregorios; "Ordinary Wonders" by Olesia Nikolaeva; "Wounded By Love" by Elder Porphyrios. Phew!

I also dip in and out of "A Spiritual Psalter" by St. Ephraim of Syria--that's a staple that's been by my side for years.

I am currently "going back to basics", beginning with:
  • The Law of God by Serafim Slobodskoy
  • On the Prayer of Jesus by St. Ignatius Brianchaninov
  • A Spiritual Psalter by St. Ephrem the Syrian/St. Theophan the Recluse
