I picked up a copy of My Life in Christ this week. I’m enjoying it immensely. If you don’t know it’s segments of the teaching and wisdom of St. John of Kronstadt.

What are you reading right now?

Life has gotten crazier lately, so I have only skimmed this book

Ethics of Beauty — St Nicholas Press

But I have loved what I have read so far. I can't wait to give it a proper read-through. My priest highly recommended it to me.

(The link has a big discount for anyone interested; otherwise the book is pricy on other retailers)

The "Unseen Warfare" series by Father Jack Sparks. This is a set of three books, though Western in origin, the profound spiritual insights of "Spiritual Combat" were recognized by Eastern writers such as Nicodemus of the Holy Mountain and Saint Theophan the Recluse, who subsequently edited and revised it in accordance with traditional Orthodox beliefs.

I gave you the "funny" emote because I do the same. Though I don't mind putting down some books when they are a bit heavy, and picking it back again later. I have ~10 "in progress" or that I read for 40-60 pages, and put down again.

What I continue to go back to lately is:
Spiritual Counsels of Elder Paisios - Vol. 1 - With Pain and Love for Contemporary Man

Then bits and pieces of these (which are deep for me):
Our Thoughts Determine Our Lives: The Life and Teachings of Elder Thaddeus of Vitovnica
Wounded by Love: The Life and Wisdom of Saint Porphyrios Paperback
