To take a break from my heavy schedule of writing for theological journals, I've been reading biographies of 2 of my favourite people:
  1. Rod Laver: A Memoir (with Larry Writer), and
  2. Johnny Cash: The Life (Robert Hilburn)
I'm also reading Albert Mohler, We Cannot Be Silent.

As someone who is a fellow Baptist and in the interest of iron sharpening iron, I would appreciate it if you would take a look at the Rough Draft of a book I am trying to write on the New Covenant.

I would like to have the final version ready in a few weeks and I am having it reviewed by several people at the present time. Most of them are conservative Baptists.

Feel free to provide criticism.
It do not consider myself an author and have thick skin.

Chapter 1 is found in the link below.

1. The Bible
2. "Evidences for Christianity" by Josh McDowell, a great read I might add.
3. "Don't Waste Your Life" by John Piper.

-Genesis

How is don't waste your life?? I have a friend that was just getting rid of a TON of books and let me fish through them.. I found don't waste your life, but when I brought it home I found it only to be the study book that goes to the actual book.. So I was wondering if I should buy the actual book or not. Thanks!

Institutes of Biblical Law by Rushdoony. I'm not a theonomist but readily believe every Christian should read this work. It will give you a better understanding of the Law / Grace distinction.

Yours in the Lord.

I am currently reading (in turn):

Five chapters, in order, of the Bible (New English Translation) and one chapter of Psalms a day.

Miracles by C. S. Lewis.

The Missing Chapter, a Nero Wolfe mystery by Robert Goldsborough.

The Prodigal God, by Tim Keller.

And I'm forever consulting Cartridges of the World and a few other reference books. Not the sort of books one reads from beginning to end.

I'm thinking I'm missing something.
