I’m looking forward to discussing things more oriented toward the Faith. I’m wondering what people are going to do that have done nothing but base their whole identity on their political affiliations. Will they bloom and branch out? ;)

So what are you looking forward to?

This isn’t going away unfortunately. I saw a meme this morning that said this election has turned into one of those annoying people that have “birthday months” , and celebrate forever instead of the one day of their birth.
Now, I have someone on this very forum who I know and love who celebrates her birthday week, so I can’t be too snotty about it, but you get the idea.
This election is going to be like the drawn out, useless impeachment. So I don’t see it settled any time soon. But to answer the question, I guess I’m looking forward to news stories not involving all the hate and name calling.

Regarding spiritual things, I'm looking forward to finally getting to read the Discourses of Mor Philoxenos of Mabbug (445-523), as I had originally ordered it some time ago but that copy got lost in the mail coming from Australia (pre-Covid). I just found out that there's an e-book of it available via my county library system, so now I have to figure out how to work that even though I don't know the process of 'checking it out' (I've only ever checked out physical books) or even reading it, since I don't have a reader like Amazon's Kindle or whatever. I guess it's time to learn a new thing. :) That's always good.

After the election is settled? I will just continue with what I have been doing through the election, but with less distractions, I hope. I worked 2-3 jobs all of my life risking my life several times and putting it on the line regularly for the sake of the citizens of MI and the USA and also worked very hard lifting from knee level and throwing up to 50,000 pounds/day, jumping to the ground in noncushioned insole combat boots from abnormal heights, and much other trauma which has taken a heavy toll on my body but I did all of this and persevered to secure the great insurances which I now have. An imposed socialistic medical care program would steal that from my wife and I so that is a big concern. But I will keep on trucking with the Lord's help.
