I was listening to a discussion how Hindu & Buddhist teachings have really taken off in the USA. It started in the 60s. The Hippie movement was actually led by Hindus & Buddhists from the East. One area their tecahings continue today is in the field of psychology. ‘You can be your better self if you picture it’ or 'you can get what you want if you keep saying you can' is Eastern religion teachings. There's churches that teach this but the Bible teaches God's sovereignty.
We think Eastern religions are limited to the far corners of the world but they're prevalent here. It wasn't part of the discussion but one word you hear today is 'good vibes' - that's Buddhism / Hinduism

I got behind listening to people’s music. Good music all.

I recently found out one of my favorite symphonic metal bands, Serenity, had a new album come out last year. One of their songs features my favorite singer, Roy Khan, who use to be with my favorite band, Kamelot. This song is about the fall of man in the garden of Eden. When Roy left Kamelot, he later became a Christian. Interestingly enough, when Kamelot made their first album with their new singer, it was a story about a man's faith, with the climax of the story called "My Confession", with the character singing about his faith in God.
