I'm feeling tired right now. Hopefully I'll go to sleep for a bit longer, though I got more than 6 hours already. Not feeling best but not worst either. Christmas on the Weekend, time flies!

I wish everyone a blessed Christmas, don't forget to say happy birthday to Jesus, though we all know it is more than likely not really His birthday, just a religious gone social tradition no more significant than that. Still I like to take the opportunity to ponder on God becoming flesh so Christmas is as good a time as any to do that I reckon.

I'm not really feeling anything at the moment. Sort of empty and numb but not that badly. My anti-depressant was lowered and I'm feeling pretty good depression wise all things considered. OCD has been acting up a bit though.

Maybe an insult word can be remembered all the life. Before, my father said to me ”You are very dirty” ,and another time “ I am very sick (nausea) of you”.

And today” few are more foolish than you”. Later he told me he had said wrongly. But I don’t want to talk with him more.

My friend has been so down lately, and I don't know how to help her. She'll start to talk but then she changes the subject. And because she's young yet, I don't know how much of it is age and how much of it is depression. And I dunno how to ask without invalidating her feelings.

In private, kindly mention that her behavior is concerning to you and let her know she has a safe avenue to vent if she wants to. Even if she doesn't respond right away she may reconsider later.

At any rate, she will know you care about her and that in itself can be reassuring.

A quiet Christmas Day; just the two of us and our spoiled dogs. Overcast weather but warm and pleasant. Went to one of the few restaurants in town to eat but so did everyone else! Guess fewer people stay home to cook these days.

One of my gifts was "Eight Days a Week", a Ron Howard documentary about the Beatles early years, 1962-66. Lots of new photos and film footage I'd never seen before. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Wife has the day off. I'm going to do some food bank volunteering this morning but other than that, just relax and chill. I gained 3 pounds; happens every Christmas.

Conflicting feelings usually make people behave she is doing right now, it does not have to be depression but rather a depressive situation she is facing, for example. Perhaps she is not used to being able to be open about how she is feeling without negative consequences or fear she upset you sharing what she has to share. A lot of people suffer from this when they were brought up forcefully, unaccepted, demanding and impatiently rather than loving, caring, acceptingly and patiently, or it is just that she is facing a really hard decision/situation.

Whatever the problem might be the best is to respond positively to the negativity and see if you can strike a few sparks this way. I found that a lot of people don't realize how much their behaviour is impacting on others especially when they are still young like your friend is. Give her lots of room, be warm, friendly, accepting and open to her, and then see over time, if, or when, she decides to share with you what she is going through right now and how best to support her with that. This may demand you stay in the back ground rather than push her to come out into the open. I would in this way try and give her as much room to share with me what she feels comfortable talking about.

I hope things will improve for your friend and you will be able to help her through this difficult time.

Feeling numb this morning. Christmas was a real drag, I spend most of my day in bed, though I couldn't sleep but I was that unwell that I sought my bed any way. It was a shocking day, though by late afternoon I picked up a bit again.

Yesterday morning was slow but much better than Christmas and by late afternoon I was fine. The whole family came up for a BBQ and I spend my time cooking dinner and talking with the kids. I was utterly exhausted by 9 pm and slept till 2 am this morning, hopefully I'm soon ready to catch a few more hours, I could certainly use a few more.

Talking about sleep, the last week has seen even more improvement there, I've even made a 7 1/2 and an 8 hour a day sleep, both times over just 2 closely spaced times of 5 hours in the first sleep and 2 1/2 and 3 hours in the second. This is the best I've done for ages.

It is good to have meds that work so well at getting me to sleep again.

I'd look up the number of said collections agency online or in a phone book and call them to see if it was them, asking for the person specifically, if they left a name. Also, you can do a free reverse-phone number-lookup online search and see what comes up. I did that when I was receiving prank calls from the same number and it came up with a name.

They wouldn't likely get specific if they are just leaving a message. Whether or not you even want to deal with them, of course, is strictly up to you.
