16 novels? That's an impressive amount. Where did you get so much inspirations?
I tried to make the books different from one another (or at least as different as I could).
So, I had
one "Who Done It" book, which is a murder with a twist.
one big city adventure.
one light horror (and I do mean light!)
one huge countywide adventure
one hero story
one war story
etc.

After a two-month break from writing, I recently started a new story. It's technically a Kirby fanfiction like the one I mentioned earlier in this thread, but Kirby isn't one of the main characters this time. I'm currently on chapter 2.

I’m currently in the process of outlining a murder mystery fanfiction. Because I think the murder setup will be derivative (I am not good at coming up with locked room murders), and the main narrative conceit is also derivative (the way that truth and reality will be treated as subjective is inspired by a visual novel series I read recently) I decided to make the characters and setting be a fan work as well. I hope to write an original story too, but I’ll practice with fanfiction for now.

I have written and published over a dozen books, but never a work of fiction. I would love to do one, but I realize it takes a lot of work. Look at works of fiction like the Dune series, the Lord of the Rings, and Game of Thrones. I cannot imagine the amount of work it takes to do such an epic novel. If I attempted to do one, I believe the project would just about have to take over my heart, mind, and life. Hundreds of characters, dozens of plots and subplots, and an overall theme that gives the story continuity. I wish the Lord would give me the license to do one. It would have to have the Christ-grace theme in the background without being overtly preachy and obvious. A part of my prayer life that comes up all the time is that Jesus is the hero of every story, the melody of every song, and the best friend in every life. He is that, and I would most certainly project that concept without being overt about it in any novel. I am 71 today, and that would be a nice exit project. I believe I have many years left, and i would truly love to do at least one piece of Christian fiction.

I am 490 pages into my family ancestry. It is almost complete... as I don't want to go over 500 pages.
Been studying my family tree for over 15 years. I am basically doing this for my kids and the rest of my family.
I received the proofs of this book earlier this year and have made a gift of 4 copies to my children. I am not sure I will publish it. The books may not be of any interest outside of my family and a small circle of friends. However, I enjoyed doing the research that covered over 500 years and many generations.

Hello gerbilwoman,
That's good.
I wish to start journaling. I'm wondering what's the best way to do journaling?
Daily micro-journaling?
Any way that works for you really. I just write whatever is on my mind. If you want to get into the habit you could pick a certain time to journal everyday and even set an alarm to remind you.

Currently writing my second non-fiction book.

I am a terrible writer! I don't write every day. I write when inspiration strikes. Sometimes I have to thunk about stuff for a long time before I write my thunks down.

I actually need readers, so if there are a few people here who can read what I have written so far, that would be great!
