To tie your two threads together...I do feel bad... Akira Kurasawa's cinematography... really yearns for a steady cam. Too bad that technology didn't come out until the mid 70s. A major reason films after that look much less static. Although I know he directed some films after that time period. Curious what they're like. I'll get to them in time.

Have you tried playing "Ghost of Tsushima" in Kurosawa mode?
Black and white, film grain, and Japanese audio with English subtitles. It even adds a graininess to the audio quality too.I haven't tried it yet. Is it just a black and white filter? Or does it add something else?
I do like the vivid option.
That's interesting. Gives me more incentive to try it out.Black and white, film grain, and Japanese audio with English subtitles. It even adds a graininess to the audio quality too.
I tried it after I beat it the first time, and it did give me the authentic Kurosawa-feel to the presentation, but I didn't stick with it because I think color is too important in that game to cut it out.
Yay its over! It was so bad.I cant wait to hate-watch the Rings of Power season finale tonite!
I watched LoTR Fellowship Of The Rings extended version to compare to Rings of Power, and the latter comes off as utter garbage. Of course Peter Jackson had the advantage of JRR Tolkien as primary writer.I cant wait to hate-watch the Rings of Power season finale tonite!
