Besides the Bible, I'm reading Battlefield of the Mind, by Joyce Meyer. I will soon be reading Straight Talk, also by Joyce Meyer. It's coming today!

Battlefield of the Mind talks about how to deal with our negative thoughts. Straight Talk is about depression, discouragement, fear, insecurity, loneliness, stress and worry.

I'm 3/4 of the way through Courtney Joseph Fallick's new book Still Standing. I meant to watch a video after each part of the book (4 videos total this summer) but didn't get to the third video yet. Oops!

I've also been re-reading the Hope Springs series by Valerie M. Bodden, but a new Kimberley Rae Jordan arrived today, so that'll be a brief break in the re-read!

Spice: The 16th-Century Contest that Shaped the Modern World, by Roger Crowley. The book details the 16th century quest to dominate the "Spice Islands" where cloves and nutmeg grow. It does over the journeys of Magellans and the follow up expeditions sent by Spain and Portugal as well as England's expeditions to Canada as well as The Barents Sea and Russia in a quest to find the mythical 'Northwest passage' to get around confronting Spain and Portugal in the South Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
