Just finished "Duncton Found" by William Horwood. I've just discovered this author and I loved it. If anybody's found of Brian Jacques "Redwall" books, I recommend this. Want to go backwards and get the Duncton Chronicles now. Has quite a Christian theme running through the one I've read.

So, I was reading One for the Money by Janet Evanovich. It's the first book in awhile that I've decided to stop reading right in the middle with no intentions of going back to it.
It just confused me. What the heck kind of book is this supposed to be? Some parts are kinda funny but then other parts are really quite disturbing, and not in a "oh wow, that's dark and it makes me want to see the resolution" kind of disturbing. It just made me mildly ill.

Next up for me will be And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie. Lol

I am currently reading books for Ron Mehl. His books are older from the 90s. His books are more of the old school Christianity which I love. I love his values and interpretations of God's goodness a whole lot better than these modern preachers and authors of today who sound too much like the secular how to do this in 3 easy steps type authors. He is still a pastor of Compassion ministries. I hope other authors will see the truth of God's goodness and love for who He truly is more like Ron Mehl does or at least did in the 90s.

With all of the electronic devices its hard to maintain the attention of the children. Reading or learning about God is "boring" to them. I remember liking video games as a kid but I remember always listening to parents and attending church.

Its almost as if we need an app or interactive game for them. It just seems the medium of a book cannot compete with an iPad.

Anyway we still try. We read them bedtime stories every night and I came across something and wanted to share with my fellow Christians.

The books on Amazon and in the bookstore can get expensive when buying a bunch. I thought for Christmas this year this would be a nice gift for the children and maybe purchase another one to give out as gifts when they do Secret Santa at the school.

Its a Groupon for all the books of the First Bible Story. It has 12 books Noah’s Ark, Jonah and the Big Fish, Daniel and the Lions, Moses in the Bulrushes, Joseph’s Colorful Coat, David and Goliath, The Birth of Jesus, The Baptism of Jesus, Jesus and His Disciples, The Miracles of Jesus, The Last Supper, and The Easter Story.

I though this was great so I picked up 2. One for our children and another for school. I am not sure of the rules if you are allowed to share a wesbite or not. If not please forgive me but this was the link a friend had sent to me. So try to copy/paste bit.ly/biblestories

So if that link doesnt come through contact me and Ill see if I can find it somehow.

Best to all!
