What subpoenas? They are request made to appear voluntarily. That is why there are zero charges coming from them not showing up.

The official/unofficial inquiry from what I read does not have subpoena power until there is a vote and an actual Impeachment is underway.

But beyond issuing a subpoena for Mr. Sondland, the chairman did not detail how he might seek to crank up pressure on the White House to comply, and the standoff may create a quandary for Democrats who had hoped to move quickly in extracting crucial evidence and decide in short order whether to push forward on impeaching Mr. Trump.

It may be deeper than that. I fear many Evangelicals think Trump is the 21st Century King Cyrus which I believe has led them to a great deception. But that's just my opinion.

The White House and DoJ have all of what Sondland has and he has what Volker and Tyler have. So why doesn't the White House release them??
