What tipping point? I don‘t see any so far.

The climate of the Earth has indeed gone through gradual cycles in the past million years. However, the current rate of warming is much faster than any natural cycle that has been observed in the past. This is due to the fact that humans are emitting greenhouse gases into the atmosphere at an unprecedented rate. These greenhouse gases trap heat, causing the Earth to warm.

The rate of warming is so rapid that it is causing the Earth's climate system to change in ways that are unprecedented in the past million years. This could lead to a number of serious consequences, including:

• Rising sea levels, which could inundate coastal cities and displace millions of people.
• More extreme weather events, such as hurricanes, floods, and droughts.
• Changes in agricultural yields, which could lead to food shortages.
• Mass extinctions, as many species are unable to adapt to the changing climate.

Below is a graph of CO2 levels related to Global temperature and sea level over thousands of years. Notice that when CO2 spikes abrumptly, global temp and sea levels also spike higher. We are now at the highest CO2 levels ever.

For global average temperature, I guess 1 degree C per century change can be called an abrupt change.
The rising of temperature from the low of last glaciation time to the present took 10,000 years. On the Pleistocene temperature curve, it looks very abrupt. However, to human being, it is very gentle.

That is why I said the so-called “turning point” is only a political hoak.
