In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Do take the time to watch this multipart documentary since it answers many of the questions posed by creationists! I will appreciate everyone to actually see the whole documentary as in the latter part of the documentary the answers are given.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching that and learned quite a bit too. I'd never really grasped the concept of switch genes before and how a couple of mutations in them can have such a profound effect. I found that very enlightening. The whole documentary was very entertaining and covered a lot of ground from Darwin's travels on HMS Beagle to the genetic mutations responsible for the differences between our brains and our nearest relatives, chimpanzees. I was particularly pleased to see Neil Shubin being interviewed (author of Your Inner Fish).

I agree that every creationist on this forum should watch this documentary. Actually, I think everyone would enjoy it. It's good.

As always there is an exception to every rule and AV is one of them. I was rather hoping that some creationists will be brave enough to just sit down for 58 minutes and learn something new. I hardly think that by doing so they put their faith in jeopardy.
