One werewolf novel I would recommend is Robert McCammon's, The Wolf's Hour.
Set in WWII, the main character is a spy for the Allies. Who also happens to be a werewolf. The mix of action and supernatural makes for a good read. Especially when he discovers that the Nazis have a project of their own to create their own shapeshifting troops.
