This especially happens when font-icons are disabled, since I'm guessing font awesome is used. On my work computer, all font-icons are blocked, so there is no visual clue in those situations. Thankfully the major functionality also has labels on the website, so the ability to use the forum is not impacted by any stripping of icons.

Curious how/why they are blocked? We host the font awesome style sheet locally.

For some reason, CDNs with Font Awesome typically work on my work computer, but locally hosted style sheets often don't. I checked the F12 developer tools and the font awesome .css file loaded successfully. I'm guessing it is the ../fonts/fontawesome-webfont.eot file that is blocked? Or maybe all the font files?

Sorry, but I would like the option to change it back to the old style.

I'm still looking for the link to put it back to the original style, the one that was "no longer supported".

I don't care about the old black default one, I never used it..

With the original version the whole width of the horizontal was usable. Text could be read from the left to to right without cutting off the left fourth of the screen.

The old styles will not be available unfortunately.

Does it cost too much to put the link back on for the original screen?

Many other forums give a choice for more than one "style" to choose from.

It took me a while to log in. I couldn't figure it out right away. It looks like my Ad Blocker Plus was blocking the new log in box from popping up.

I can't/won't provide support for Ad Block issues. You are more than welcome to setup your computer however you would like but I am not going to spend valuable time and possibly money to fix issues caused by add-ons that prevent us from earning money from your use of our free service.

When you take the total cost of having this style created and the amount of time that I have spent working on implementing it and working through issues, the total cost is in the low $x,xxx range. Supporting multiple styles not only costs actual currency but it costs time.

I am not trying to be mean at all, just trying to explain my perspective when it comes to these issues. I wish it was easy/cost efficient to make everyone happy but we have to try to find a happy place in the middle with styles so that time can be spent elsewhere.

Welcome to the new Christian Forums style. We just put it live and will be fine tuning things a bit. Let us know if you see any issues or find something that looks off.

I had trouble logging in. I tried Firefox, then Opera, then Safari on Ipod, and finally got in with Firefox web developer. Maybe it was too many trying to get on while I tried, but I am on now.

I have just had it pointed out to me by another member that religious affiliation is no longer visible.

This could well be a problem with new posters posting in the various safe haven areas - e.g. OBOB , TAW etc etc

How do we get that back ?

I had trouble logging in.

I did too.

So what I did with Firefox is to go to the top and click "view", then "page style" and then select :"No Style".

Then I could find the log in area at the bottom of the page. And put a tick in the box that reads "stay logged in". That should do it for now. Then go back and undo the "no style" selection.

I had the same problem when I tried to login just now. I had to open a new tab to make it work.

I used the original style too. I would like the option to change it back. I never used the black background either.
